Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team, reporting to the Regional Network Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining robust network infrastructures across local, regional, and global environments.
As a key technical expert, you will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our network architecture, enabling seamless connectivity and supporting critical business operations worldwide.
Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency and resilience of our IT ecosystem. By managing complex networking environments and collaborating closely with cross-functional technical teams, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, optimizing network performance, and supporting the organization’s growth and digital transformation.
About the Team
We are a diverse global Network Operations team of approximately 15 professionals based across Massy, Bolney, Houston, and Singapore. The team is responsible for operating, supporting, and continuously improving the network services that enable our business, including data center, cloud, enterprise, WAN, wireless, and network security infrastructure.
Our mission is to deliver stable, secure, and scalable connectivity for critical business operations across our global environment. We work closely with architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, site IT, and business teams to ensure reliable service delivery, effective incident response, strong change execution, and continued modernization of our network platforms.
The team combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative, practical, and service-focused culture. We value ownership, clear communication, continuous learning, and teamwork across regions.
This role will contribute directly to major operational and modernization initiatives, including network standardization, improved observability, infrastructure refreshes, and support for high-performance computing and enterprise connectivity across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Network Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and maintain network switches, routers, and other networking appliances in accordance with established procedures, standards, and methodologies.
LAN/WAN Management: Utilize various tools to configure and maintain local and wide area networks, ensuring consistent, reliable, and secure communications within the organization.
Capacity Planning: Provide network capacity planning recommendations aligned with projected growth and usage trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various technical teams to support and implement local and global networking projects.
Technical Escalation: Serve as the escalation point for resolving complex technical issues.
Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior engineering staff, fostering professional growth and team cohesion.
Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation on network designs, configurations, and standards.
Skill Advancement: Continuously advance networking skills through ongoing education and training.
On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation and perform occasional after-hours/weekend work as required.
Qualifications
Required:
Education: BS degree in Computer Science or a related fields
5–10 years’ experience in deploying and supporting network systems within global, multi-vendor environments
Strong expertise in routing & switching (Cisco, Arista, Aruba/HPE), WAN/SD-WAN architectures, and Wi-Fi deployment and troubleshooting (including authentication standards)
Solid knowledge of Network Access Control and hands-on experience with security solutions (firewalls, IPS/IDS)
Experience with network, system, and security monitoring tools, as well as basic network automation and scripting
Proven ability to lead technical projects end-to-end, communicate complex concepts clearly, and solve critical network issues under pressure
Preferred:
Strong knowledge of data center architectures (spine-leaf) and protocols (VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, MLAG), with understanding of fiber optic standards
Familiarity with HPC interconnects (Omnipath, Infiniband) and cloud platforms such as OpenStack
Solid expertise in Linux environments, virtualization, containerization, and network virtualization (NFV, SDN/SD-WAN)
CCNP certification or equivalent hands-on networking experience
