AI is reshaping how operating teams work, but most of that value is still locked behind two walls: people do not always know what is possible, and AI experts at the center often try to solve problems from too far away.
We are hiring a People AI Operations Lead to break through both barriers.
You will work from inside the People function: one of the most process-heavy, document-heavy, judgment-heavy parts of the company. You will build the agents, automations, and internal apps that help Vibe operate at a different tempo, and you will level up the people who use them.
This role did not exist 18 months ago. It is a senior IC seat, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, with high visibility across the executive team.
You will partner closely with People, Engineering, Operations, Revenue, and leadership teams to turn AI from something people talk about into something the company runs on.
People teams run on workflows: recruiting, onboarding, performance cycles, internal mobility, HR operations, documentation, approvals, and decision-making. You will automate and reinvent the systems behind those workflows.
This is not a pure implementation role, and it is not a pure enablement role. You will ship tools yourself, then teach others how to build, adapt, and scale them.
You will help define responsible AI usage inside the People team: what data can be used, what tools are sanctioned, what stays internal, and how we handle sensitive information and PII.
Build AI agents, automations, and internal tools for People-focused workflows like recruiting, onboarding, mobility, HR operations, and performance cycles.
Work directly with People team members to understand real processes, repeated judgment, and where automation can create immediate leverage.
Use tools like n8n, Claude Code, Notion AI, and the broader stack to ship production-ready solutions that are built, tested, deployed, measured, and improved.
Lead AI enablement across the company by running Vibe’s internal AI Champions program, identifying 1–2 power users per team, equipping them with a playbook, and measuring their impact.
Train non-technical teams through office hours, internal documentation, brown bags, and hands-on sessions that move them from curiosity to adoption.
Help business partners build confidence with AI by teaching roles like recruiters, office managers, or people operations teammates how to create their first agent in one sitting.
Partner with Engineering on the infrastructure layer, including data access, MCP servers, governance, security, and technical foundations for safe business-team building.
Remove blockers for builders in non-engineering teams by translating People and Operations needs into clear technical requirements.
Ensure the systems you build are secure, scalable, maintainable, and compliant with internal expectations.
Define and enforce clear standards for responsible People AI usage, including data classification, approved tools, internal workflows, and sensitive data handling.
Clarify what data can be used, where it can be used, and what must stay within approved environments.
Partner with People, Legal, Security, and Engineering to build guardrails that support fast adoption while protecting trust, privacy, and compliance.
Own adoption and impact by measuring what matters: adoption, time saved, agents in production, workflow quality, internal user NPS, and team-level productivity gains.
Identify the highest-leverage opportunities across People and adjacent operating teams.
Build and execute a pragmatic roadmap with the CPO (Chief People Officer), continuously improving based on real usage, feedback, and measurable outcomes.
This is a hybrid builder and enablement role. You need both, not one or the other.
5+ years of experience, including 2+ years shipping internal tools, agents, automations, or workflow systems for non-technical users in production.
Strong hands-on builder with Python or TypeScript, APIs, prompt engineering, and agent evaluation; shipped products matter more than a CS degree.
Deep familiarity with modern AI and automation tools, including at least two such as Dust, n8n, Make, Claude, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, MCP, Retool, or Airtable scripts.
Experience working closely with non-technical stakeholders across People, Operations, Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Revenue, or Product.
Strong process and workflow judgment: able to observe teammates, identify high-leverage automation opportunities, design better systems, and create operational leverage.
Bilingual French/English operator with strong ownership, high judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to train teams without creating dependency.
Shipped a side project, open-source contribution, automation, agent, internal tool, workflow system, or similar solo build outside of work.
Served as the go-to person in a 200+ person scale-up for teams with unclear process problems.
Led internal trainings or wrote documentation that materially changed how a team worked.
Background in RevOps, People Ops, BizOps, Product Ops, early-stage engineering, forward-deployed engineering, consulting-to-builder roles, or founder/operator work.
Experience with builder-business environments, AI governance/security/compliance workflows, or tools for recruiting, onboarding, HR ops, workforce planning, or knowledge management.
You come from a pure ML or research background with no product, operations, or customer-facing experience.
You are a pure trainer or change management consultant who has never built anything used in production.
You are mainly looking for a path into Engineering. This is not a stepping stone into another function. It is a destination role for someone who wants to build from inside Operations and People.
You prefer writing strategy documents over shipping working systems.
You need fully defined requirements before you can start building.
Competitive base salary, plus a bonus.
Direct line to the CPO and exec exposure from day one. The work you ship is the work the whole company runs on.
Genuine autonomy. You'll define the roadmap with the CPO; you won't be handed a Jira backlog.
Network and interact with AI experts embedded in other functions.
Modern stack, real budget for AI tools, no friction on experimentation.
Hybrid Paris office. Some travel to NYC every quarter or two.
