Located on the lively Maasboulevard with a view of the Sint Servaas Bridge, we are looking for 3 independent cooks to join our kitchen team. We offer you a professional work environment with a great atmosphere, aligned with our trendy concept.
Responsibilities:
1. You will carry out preparatory tasks, including washing vegetables, cutting and filleting salmon, and slicing lamb chops and beef for the preparation of stone plate dishes. You will do this alongside a kitchen team of around eight colleagues, under the guidance of the head chef.
2. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes, performing interim quality and hygiene checks according to the relevant guidelines.
3. You will prepare dishes for service, performing a final check before they are delivered by the servers (or robots).
4. You will plan daily tasks and place orders for food supplies and other stock refills with regular suppliers. You will also check the delivered products for quality and quantity.
5. You will supervise the work of assistants, provide instructions, and guide when needed.
6. Before closing time, you will ensure that the workspace is clean, clean kitchen equipment and machines, and assist with cleaning the entire kitchen and storing delivered goods when necessary.
7. You will contribute to improving quality, participate in discussions about optimizations, and assist in composing and adjusting menus, recipes, and preparation instructions.
Job Requirements:
· You have completed an MBO-3 (or equivalent) vocational education, with demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
· You are a true team player, adaptable, and possess strong communication skills.
