Job Description: Alliance & Out-Licensing Manager
Position Overview
The Alliance & Out-Licensing Manager will be responsible for identifying, structuring, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships for the commercialization of the company’s biosimilar and generic portfolio across Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), the Baltics, and Balkan markets.
Reporting within Commercial EU function, this role sits at the intersection of Commercial Operations, Business Development and Alliance Management, driving regional value creation through out-licensing, distributor partnerships, tender and pricing management and lifecycle optimization of biosimilar assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Out-Licensing & Business Development
Identify and secure regional and local partners (distributors, pharma companies) for out-licensing of biosimilar and generic products.
Lead end-to-end deal execution: opportunity assessment, valuation, negotiation, and contract finalization.
Develop and implement regional out-licensing strategies aligned with global portfolio priorities.
Build and maintain a strong network of potential partners across CEE, Baltics, and Balkans.
2. Alliance & Partner Management
Act as the primary point of contact for regional partners and distributors.
Manage alliance governance, including joint steering committees, KPIs, and compliance oversight.
Monitor partner performance (sales, market access, tender wins, supply commitments) and implement corrective actions where required.
Ensure successful product launches and lifecycle management in collaboration with partners.
3. Commercial Strategy & Market Expansion
Support pricing, reimbursement, and tender strategies across multiple markets.
Provide market intelligence: competitor biosimilars, pricing dynamics, regulatory changes, and tender landscapes.
Identify growth opportunities including new indications, portfolio expansion, new launches and cross-selling.
Contribute to regional forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Regulatory, Market Access, Supply Chain, Legal, and Medical Affairs teams to ensure seamless execution of agreements.
Align partner activities with internal compliance, pharmacovigilance, and quality standards.
Support due diligence activities for licensing and distribution deals and partnerships.
5. Deal Structuring & Governance
Lead contract negotiations (distribution, licensing).
Define commercial terms (pricing, margins, milestones, supply terms).
Ensure robust governance frameworks for alliance performance tracking and risk mitigation.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related field
Experience
5–10 years in pharmaceutical Business Development, Licensing, or Alliance Management
Strong experience in biosimilars, biologics and generics
Proven track record in negotiating and executing licensing and distribution agreements
Experience and partner network across CEE / Baltics / Balkans markets is beneficial. Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.

Strong commercial acumen and understanding of pricing & reimbursement systems
Financial acumen, strong knowledge of P&L and cash flow models, ability to handle large volume of market data including customers, SKUs, volumes and pricing, outstanding excel skills.
Deep knowledge of biosimilar and generic market dynamics and regulatory frameworks
Advanced negotiation and contract management skills
Ability to operate in a multi-country, distributor-driven model
Excellent stakeholder management across cultures and functions
High level of autonomy, resilience, and execution focus

Number and value of executed licensing agreements
Revenue growth from out-licensed / distribution biosimilar and generic portfolio

Works closely with: Regional Commercial Leads and partners, Finance, Regulatory, Market Access local leads, Legal, Supply Chain
