TransCure bioServices, part of Taconic Biosciences, is a preclinical CRO and a recognized leader in humanized mouse models and translational in vivo research. We support biotech, pharma, and academic partners in accelerating drug development through advanced preclinical services, rigorous study design, and highly translatable data.
Leveraging deep expertise in humanized immune system and humanized liver platforms, TransCure helps move innovative therapies forward across a range of therapeutic areas including oncology, immuno-oncology, infectious diseases, inflammatory diseases, fibrosis, and MASLD/MASH.
We are looking for an Alliance Manager (PhD) to own a portfolio of client accounts and lead long-term scientific partnerships with international clients. This is a high-impact, client-facing role at the intersection of preclinical science and client strategy with a strong emphasis on portfolio development, client retention, and scientific partnership rather than day-to-day operational execution.
The position is based in the French Alps, with beautiful natural surroundings, very flexible working hours, and hybrid work options. Please note that this is not a fully remote role.
Our team is composed entirely of PhD scientists, creating a highly expert, collaborative, and scientifically demanding environment.
This position is open to candidates with disabilities. If you share our mission and are eager to contribute to the discovery of tomorrow’s therapies, we would be delighted to connect with you.
Your mission
As Alliance Manager, you will serve as the primary scientific and strategic point of contact for a portfolio of biotech and pharma clients.
Your focus will be to build, develop, and retain long-term client partnerships, understand each client’s scientific and business objectives, and ensure that TransCure’s work delivers strong scientific value, client satisfaction, and opportunities for continued collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Own and develop a portfolio of strategic biotech, pharma, and research client accounts
- Act as the lead scientific and strategic contact for clients across ongoing and future collaborations
- Understand client priorities in drug development, translational research, and therapeutic strategy
- Advise clients on study direction, scientific positioning, and the best use of TransCure’s preclinical capabilities
- Partner with internal project teams to align study goals, timelines, deliverables, and client expectations
- Maintain a high-level view of program progress and proactively address scientific, technical, or relationship-related risks
- Support scientific discussions around study design, data interpretation, and reporting, while relying on internal experts for operational execution as appropriate
What we are looking for
- PhD in immunology or a related life sciences field
- Previous post-doctoral or industry experience in a client-facing or partnership-oriented role within a CRO, biotech, or pharma environment
- Experience working in an international environment
- A genuine interest in client partnership, account development, and strategic relationship management
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and adapt quickly to new scientific topics
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills.
- Strong scientific credibility, with the ability to engage confidently with international experts
- Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English, ability to communicate in French
- Strong hands-on knowledge in molecular and cellular biology techniques, such as flow cytometry, cell-based assays, ELISA, ELISpot, RT-qPCR, immunohistochemistry, and related methods
- Strong background in mouse models, including immunodeficient, syngeneic, and ideally humanized mouse models
- French State-accredited “Diplôme d’expérimentation animale – Niveau 1” or equivalent certification obtained internationally
- Previous experience in drug development and/or mouse model development would be a strong plus
We would love to hear from candidates who combine strong scientific expertise with a partnership mindset and a genuine interest in helping accelerate therapeutic innovation.
