Job Description
We are looking for an IT Software Development Manager to join the IT Games & Studios department.
You will lead a distributed software engineering team responsible for building and maintaining scalable products used by IT and production teams at Ubisoft.
This role requires a strong balance of technical leadership, Agile delivery ownership, and product oriented thinking, with the ability to operate effectively across global teams and time zones.
As the IT Software Development Manager, your key responsibilities are:
Team Leadership & Delivery

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions

Drive technical excellence, code quality, and engineering best practices

Ensure on-time delivery through effective planning, tracking, and risk management

Foster a collaborative, ownership-driven team culture
Product & Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions

Contribute to product roadmap discussions with a strong understanding of product impact

Balance technical feasibility, user needs, and delivery timelines
Agile / Scrum Execution

Facilitate and evolve Agile/Scrum practices within the team (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives)

Ensure transparency of progress, blockers, and risks

Continuously improve team efficiency and delivery processes
Technical Leadership

Provide architectural guidance and participate in key technical decisions

Encourage the adoption of modern technologies, including AI-driven development patterns

Promote open-source contribution mindset and reuse of industry best practices
Global Collaboration

Work effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones

Communicate clearly with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds

Align with global standards while supporting local team needs
Qualifications

Significative experience in building/developing applications and services

Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and distributed systems

Good understanding of product development lifecycle and product thinking

Experience working with global, multi-time-zone teams

Knowledge of Python, SQL, TypeScript, Gitlab. Vue framework is a plus

Familiarity with open-source ecosystems and modern development stacks

Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proven experience leading Agile/Scrum teams in a product driven environment is a plus.
