Overview:
Role Purpose / Objective
The Agentic AI Engineer will reinforce our Innovation Team and drive the creation, deployment, and adoption of enterprise AI agents across the full portfolio of GRAITEC products and internal business functions.
In this role, you will design, develop, evaluate, and deploy intelligent agentic solutions powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and enterprise integrations.
The AI agents you build will be able to:

Understand user intent and business requirements across AEC workflows and enterprise processes.

Retrieve, analyze, and reason over product knowledge, project data, and business information.

Orchestrate actions through APIs, enterprise systems, CAD/BIM platforms, automation services, and internal tools.

Support customer-facing and internal use cases including product support, onboarding, technical documentation, product management, customer success, and marketing.

Deliver secure, traceable, reliable, and high-quality outcomes aligned with GRAITEC's business objectives and governance standards.
This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role working closely with Product Management, Innovation, R&D, IT, Customer Success, Support, Sales, and Marketing teams to transform business opportunities into scalable AI-powered solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Agentic AI Development

Design, build, deploy, and continuously improve AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, tool usage, API orchestration, and multi-step task execution.

Develop and optimize agentic workflows leveraging modern AI frameworks, Copilot technologies, MCP architecture, and LLM ecosystems.

Implement and enhance existing RAG solutions to ground AI responses in product documentation, knowledge bases, technical resources, and enterprise data.

Build reusable tooling layers including function calling, connectors, API wrappers, AI skills, automation services, and agent communication protocols.
-
Create AI-powered solutions that support both customer-facing experiences and internal business functions across Product Management, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, and Operations.

Identify and prototype innovative AI use cases that can create measurable business value across the organization.
Quality, Evaluation & Reliability
-
Define and maintain AI evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, test datasets, success criteria, and quality metrics.

Continuously monitor and improve agent performance, accuracy, reliability, and business impact.

Reduce hallucinations and improve output quality through prompt engineering, retrieval optimization, memory strategies, reasoning improvements, and agent guardrails.

Investigate and resolve failures related to retrieval, planning, reasoning, API integrations, tool usage, and workflow execution.

Establish best practices for AI quality assurance, testing, and continuous improvement.
Enterprise Readiness & Engineering Practices

Design and implement secure-by-design AI solutions, including access control, permissions management, privacy considerations, data governance, traceability, and compliance requirements.

Contribute to production deployment processes including CI/CD integration, monitoring, telemetry, observability, performance optimization, and cost management.

Develop scalable and maintainable AI architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
-
Produce clear technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials to support long-term maintainability and successful handover to product and engineering teams.

Enable and mentor internal teams on AI capabilities, agent creation methodologies, best practices, and innovation opportunities.
Product & Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, industry experts, and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases.

Translate business challenges and customer needs into scalable AI solutions and agent workflows.
-
Work closely with domain experts to formalize user journeys across support, onboarding, design automation, BIM workflows, engineering processes, and customer engagement scenarios.

Gather feedback from users and stakeholders, analyze adoption and usage patterns, and convert insights into product improvements.

Help structure enterprise knowledge into agent-ready formats including taxonomies, knowledge repositories, intent libraries, tool catalogs, and decision frameworks.
Innovation & Continuous Learning

Stay current with emerging trends in Agentic AI, Generative AI, LLMs, MCP, Copilot technologies, AI safety, and enterprise AI adoption.

Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies that can enhance GRAITEC's AI capabilities.

Contribute to the company's AI strategy and help establish best practices for future AI initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of experience within the AEC, Technology, Digital Innovation, AI, Product, Engineering, or related industries.
-
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience building AI agents, LLM-powered applications, copilots, RAG solutions, or agentic workflows.
-
Proven experience delivering AI solutions from concept to production that solve business problems and create measurable value.
-
Hands-on experience with modern AI platforms and tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, or equivalent technologies.

Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams to design and deliver AI-driven solutions.

Experience working in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments with multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Strong interest in enterprise software and real-world customer challenges.
Nice-to-have:

Familiarity with AEC workflows (CAD/BIM) or a strong motivation to learn the industry.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Advanced education, certifications, or specialized training in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Agentic AI is a plus.

Good understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI concepts, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and modern AI orchestration approaches.
