Make Safety Visible. Make Processes Better.
JetSupport is a fast-growing European business aviation MRO operating under EASA Part-145, with stations at Amsterdam Schiphol, Paris Le Bourget, Munich Oberpfaffenhofen, and Nice. We maintain some of the most demanding business jet programmes in Europe, and we hold ourselves to the same standard.
At Le Bourget, we are creating a new combined role that reflects how we think about quality and performance: safety and continuous improvement are not separate functions, they are two sides of the same mindset. Both require root cause thinking, structured problem solving, and a real presence on the floor.
We’re not looking for someone to fill in forms. We’re looking for someone who makes things better, every day.
The Role
As QHSE & Continuous Improvement Officer at LFPB, you are the station’s on-site focal point for Safety Management System (SMS) implementation, compliance follow-up, and at the same time, the person driving Lean and CI initiatives across maintenance, stores, and MCC operations.
You report to the Compliance Monitoring & Safety Manager and work in close daily collaboration with the Manager Operations LFPB. You have no direct reports, but you carry real authority: you can stop non-compliant activities, lead cross-departmental improvement projects, and hold process owners accountable for closing findings.
This is a role for someone who is comfortable on the maintenance floor, speaks the language of technicians and managers alike, and doesn’t wait to be asked before acting.
What You’ll Do
Safety & SMS:
- Be the visible, go-to person on safety and compliance at LFPB: facilitate occurrence reporting, follow up on hazards and findings, and keep actions moving.
- Support and perform safety investigations and risk assessments; propose mitigations and verify they actually work.
- Drive audit and compliance finding closure, collect the evidence, keep owners on track, and escalate delays before they become problems.
- Prepare input for Safety Action Group (SAG) discussions and contribute to SMS governance across the station.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead Lean and CI initiatives across maintenance, stores, and MCC: identify waste, map value streams, run Kaizen workshops, and implement solutions that stick.
- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring operational issues—and make sure corrective actions are followed through, not just documented.
- Build standardised work procedures with the teams who use them; coach staff in Lean tools and CI thinking.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics that tell the real story, and report progress to Operations and Safety Management.
Culture & Communication:
- Run toolbox talks, safety briefings, and hazard workshops that people actually engage with.
- Build trust across the station, with technicians, with management, and with external aviation safety contacts.
- Promote a Just Culture where people report problems because they want to fix them, not because they have to.
What You Bring
Essential:
- 3+ years in a QHSE, operational excellence, or CI role in aviation, MRO, aerospace, or a comparably regulated industry.
- Solid working knowledge of SMS principles, hazard identification, risk assessment, and audit follow-up processes.
- Hands-on experience with Lean methodologies: Kaizen, VSM, 5S, RCA, or equivalent.
- Fluent in English and French—you will work in both, every day.
- A practical, floor-level mindset: you translate requirements into actions, not documents.
- HBO / Bachelor’s level in aviation, technical management, safety, quality, operations, or a related field.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with EASA Part-145 operations and the aviation SMS framework.
- Lean / Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt or higher).
- Experience in business aviation or with international MRO operations.
- Dutch and/or German are a bonus—we are a multi-national team.
What We Offer
- A role with real scope and real impact, you will shape how safety and improvement work at one of Europe’s most dynamic business aviation MROs.
- Direct access to senior management and a short decision-making line, no bureaucracy between you and the people who can make things happen.
- A genuinely international environment: Dutch, French, German, and English are all spoken in the same building.
- Clear growth paths: toward Safety Engineer, Compliance Monitoring Engineer, or CI Lead at group level.
- Competitive salary package Groupe E Classe 10 non-cadre, details will be discussed during the interview process.
- A station at Paris Le Bourget, the home of European business aviation.
