About FTL Airlines:
As part of its continued development and fleet expansion strategy, FTL Airlines is seeking an experienced and highly motivated A321 Freighter Fleet Manager who will be responsible for the creation, launch, growth and long-term development of the Company's new Airbus A321 Freighter business sector.
The successful candidate will lead the introduction of the Airbus A321 Freighter into the Company's Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and oversee its successful integration into all operational, technical, training, compliance and safety processes.
Position Description:
The A321 Freighter Fleet Manager reports directly to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (SVP OPS).
In the performance of his/her duties, the A321 Freighter Fleet Manager works in close coordination with the Company's nominated post holders, including the Safety & Compliance Manager, the Head of Training and Examination (RDFE), the PHCT, the CAMO Manager, the MCC Manager and the OCC Manager, as well as with all departments involved in the introduction, integration and operation of the Airbus A321 Freighter fleet.
In this capacity, the A321 Freighter Fleet Manager ensures cross-functional coordination of the fleet introduction program and guarantees consistency across all actions undertaken by the various stakeholders involved.
The A321 Freighter Fleet Manager is responsible for the introduction, integration, growth and development of the Airbus A321 Freighter fleet within FTL Airlines.
The position holder provides overall leadership of the programme from the preparation phase through to entry into commercial service and ensures the complete integration of the aircraft into all operational, technical, regulatory, training, airworthiness, compliance and safety processes of the Company.
The A321 Freighter Fleet Manager coordinates all internal and external stakeholders involved in the program and serves as the Company's primary point of reference for all matters relating to the Airbus A321 Freighter fleet.
He/She ensures that safety, regulatory compliance, quality, operational performance and program schedule objectives are achieved in accordance with the strategic direction established by Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Introduction Programme Leadership:
- Lead the entire Airbus A321 Freighter fleet introduction program within FTL Airlines.
- Develop, implement and monitor the overall fleet introduction plan.
- Establish program milestones and monitor their successful completion.
- Identify risks that may affect program delivery and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Provide regular program status reports to the Director of Operations and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
- Ensure compliance with program objectives relating to safety, regulatory compliance, quality, cost and schedule.
- Integration of the Fleet into the FTL Airlines Ecosystem
- Ensure the successful integration of the Airbus A321 Freighter fleet throughout the Company's organisation.
- Coordinate activities between Flight Operations, OCC, MCC, CAMO, Maintenance, Training, Ground Operations, Security, Safety and Compliance departments.
- Ensure consistency of procedures, processes and working methods across all involved departments.
- Verify that all Airbus A321 Freighter operational and technical specificities are properly reflected within Company manuals, systems, tools and procedures.
- Identify organisational changes required to support fleet operations and coordinate their implementation.
- Ensure effective communication among all programme stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance Management
- Lead, in close cooperation with the Safety & Compliance Manager, all activities required for the regulatory integration of the Airbus A321 Freighter into the Company's Air Operator Certificate (AOC).
- Coordinate the preparation, submission and follow-up of all applications and documentation required by the relevant aviation authorities.
- Oversee amendments to manuals, procedures, training programmes and operational documentation associated with the fleet introduction.
- Ensure compliance with EASA, DGAC/DSAC, Airbus and any other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the preparation and conduct of regulatory audits, inspections and evaluations.
- Act as the Company's focal point with aviation authorities for matters relating to the A321 Freighter program.
- Training, Standardisation and Competency Management
- Identify training requirements associated with the introduction and development of the Airbus A321 Freighter fleet.
- Ensure, in close cooperation with the Head of Training and Examination (RDFE) and the PHCT, that training, checking and recurrent competency programs meet operational fleet requirements.
- Contribute to the definition of operational standards applicable to Airbus A321 Freighter operations.
- Participate in the selection, development and organisation of instructor and examiner resources required for the program.
- Monitor all training and standardisation activities associated with the fleet.
- Participate in crew planning, recruitment requirements and qualification strategies necessary for fleet operations.
- Flight Safety and Continuous Improvement
- Actively promote the Company's safety culture.
- Contribute to risk assessments related to fleet introduction and operations.
- Ensure Safety Management System requirements are incorporated throughout all phases of the program.
- Participate in operational event analysis and corrective action follow-up.
- Identify and promote opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, operational performance and efficiency.
- Corporate Representation and Stakeholder Relations
- Represent FTL Airlines before civil aviation authorities, aircraft manufacturers, training organisations, suppliers and industrial partners on all matters relating to the Airbus A321 Freighter fleet.
- Participate in technical meetings, audits, working groups and projects associated with fleet introduction and development.
- Advise Company management on all matters relating to Airbus A321 Freighter operations and development.
Authority
Within the scope of his/her responsibilities, the A321 Freighter Fleet Manager is empowered to:
- Coordinate the activities of all departments involved in the program.
- Lead working groups dedicated to the Airbus A321 Freighter introduction.
- Request the resources necessary to achieve program objectives.
- Recommend organisational, technical or operational changes required for program success.
- Monitor and close program-related action plans.
- Escalate directly to the Director of Operations or the Deputy Chief Executive Officer any issue likely to affect safety, regulatory compliance or programme schedule.
- Represent the Company before authorities and external stakeholders within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
Candidate Profile
- Qualifications :
- Valid ATPL.
- Valid Airbus A320 Family Type Rating.
- Airbus A320 Family TRI and TRE qualifications mandatory.
- Significant experience as an instructor and examiner.
- Thorough knowledge of EASA Air OPS, Part-FCL, Part-ORO, Part-CAMO requirements and Safety Management System principles.
- Previous fleet introduction experience and/or experience managing complex aviation projects is highly desirable.
- Experience :
- Significant operational experience on Airbus A320/A321 aircraft.
- Proven experience in training, standardisation and operational management roles.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex multi-department projects.
- Cargo aviation experience is desirable.
- Experience dealing with aviation authorities and approved training organisations is desirable.

Availability:
Given the strategic importance of the Airbus A321 Freighter fleet introduction program, the successful candidate will be required to maintain a permanent and sustained presence at the Company's headquarters throughout the entire AOC integration phase and until the fleet enters commercial service.
Such presence is considered essential to ensure effective program management, team coordination and interaction with aviation authorities, manufacturers, suppliers and Company partners.
Business travel within France and internationally will be required as part of the program.
Position Objective
To successfully introduce, integrate and bring into commercial operation the Airbus A321 Freighter fleet within FTL Airlines while ensuring full regulatory compliance, adherence to Company safety standards, operational excellence and achievement of the strategic objectives established by Senior Management.
