Vizzia equips 250+ French local authorities with connected cameras, sensors, and IoT devices to improve urban security and cleanliness. Each deployment relies on the Vizzia terminal — a standalone unit that must work reliably in the field, often without access to public power infrastructure.
Today, roughly 20% of potential clients are unreachable because the terminal lacks the accessories needed for their specific installation constraints: extended battery life, remote antennas, high-capacity chargers. Building that ecosystem is not a side project — it is what determines whether Vizzia can keep its commercial promises.
You will join the Hardware team under David Thibault, responsible for both the operational reliability of deployed terminals and the design of new accessories that make every installation possible.
1. Start in the field to understand what you'll be designing for
During your onboarding, spend time on-site with the ops team to grasp the real constraints of deploying Vizzia terminals in the field
Understand what breaks, what limits installations, and what clients can't do today — this is the raw material for everything you'll build next
Back in the workshop, use that knowledge to configure and validate cameras in controlled conditions
2. Design the accessories that make every installation possible
Prototype new accessories (external chargers, remote antennas, solar panels) from concept to bench-tested unit
Solder, assemble, and iterate on hardware components in the workshop
Run hardware tests to validate performance in real conditions
You have a background in embedded systems or mechatronics (engineering school or equivalent) with strong hands-on projects
You have built things : a robot, an electronics project, something that works in the real world
You prototype fast and iterate even faster
You are comfortable in the field as much as in the workshop
You are graduating in 2026 (currently in your final internship) or recently graduated
If you want a role where you see your work deployed on the streets of French cities within months of joining, this is it.
