Mission
The Product & Technology Manager leads a team of engineers, project managers, and technicians to design, qualify, and deploy technical solutions tailored to operational and maintenance needs.
He/She provides clear, pragmatic, and consistent direction to the team within a demanding, highly process-driven industrial environment where quality, safety, operational performance, and standardization are critical.
This role combines strong technical leadership, project management, and cross-functional coordination with operations, maintenance, quality, internal clients, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical roadmap aligned with operational and maintenance challenges.
- Lead, develop, and structure a team of engineers, project managers, and technicians.
- Prioritize technical topics based on safety, quality, cost, schedule, and operational availability.
- Oversee the design, qualification, and deployment of technical solutions (tools, processes, robotics, methods, standards, operational support).
- Ensure consistency between developed solutions, field requirements, internal standards, and operational constraints.
- Coordinate interfaces with operations, maintenance, engineering, projects, quality teams, and internal/external clients.
- Contribute to the resolution of technical issues and drive continuous improvement of processes and standards.
- Support the development of technical action plans, resource allocation decisions, and budget monitoring.
- Ensure knowledge capitalization, standardization, and team capability development.
- Contribute, when required, to technical proposals or to supporting and justifying solutions to stakeholders.
Accountabilities
- Ensure delivery of safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance within the assigned technical scope.
- Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of approximately 10 to 20 team members, depending on scope.
- Lead complex technical topics with significant operational impact.
- Contribute to technical and organizational decision-making with leadership and key stakeholders.
- Ensure standardization of practices, methods, and technical solutions.
- Act as a key technical point of contact for critical topics and complex problem-solving.
Working Relationships
Reporting to the Senior Product Manager or Director, this role works closely with:
- Operations teams
- Maintenance teams
- Project managers
- Engineering and design offices
- Quality, procurement, EPMO, sales, and support functions
- International counterparts when applicable
The role involves regular communication with senior management and may require interactions with internal and external clients on critical technical topics.
Profile
- Engineering degree or equivalent.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in an industrial, technical, or engineering environment.
- Proven experience in technical team management and complex project leadership.
- Experience in highly process-driven environments, with strong requirements in safety, quality, standardization, and procedures.
- Strong ability to structure, prioritize, arbitrate, and provide clear direction.
- Solid industrial background, ideally gained in a large organization or matrix structure.
- Nuclear experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience in maintenance, operational support, engineering design, methods, industrialization, systems engineering, or technical solutions is highly valued.
- Professional level of English required.
