As a Business Development Representative within our SMB division, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities across the French market within your assigned territory. This role is suited to a motivated sales professional with strong prospecting, communication, and qualification skills who is comfortable engaging with prospective customers and helping build a high-quality sales pipeline.
You will support the growth of Centric’s PLM solutions primarily within the apparel and fast-moving consumer goods sectors, by identifying potential customers, initiating conversations, qualifying business needs, and partnering closely with the sales team to progress opportunities.
This role is part of the Global SMB Sales organization, reporting directly to the VP of Sales – SMB, with a dotted-line to the EuroWest sales division to ensure alignment with the core retail market strategy in France.
Generate new business opportunities within the assigned French territory through outbound prospecting, targeted outreach, and lead follow-up.
Identify and qualify prospective customers aligned with Centric’s value proposition and target market.
Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand business needs, challenges, decision-making processes, and potential fit.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and early-stage opportunities.
Partner closely with Regional Sales Executives and internal stakeholders to transition qualified opportunities for further development.
Research target accounts, industries, and contacts to support effective outreach and territory planning.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospecting activity, lead status, and opportunity progression in CRM systems.
Develop strong relationships with prospective customers and act as an early point of contact for Centric in the French market.
Support the preparation of outreach campaigns, account lists, and market development initiatives.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to follow up on inbound leads, events, campaigns, and other demand generation activities.
Represent Centric professionally in initial prospect interactions, industry events, trade shows, and conferences when required.
Consistently achieve or exceed assigned activity, pipeline generation, and qualification targets.
2+ years of experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, or inside sales within a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
Experience prospecting into new accounts and generating qualified sales opportunities.
Fluency in French and English is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage prospects professionally and confidently.
Ability to understand customer challenges and qualify business needs effectively.
Experience using CRM systems and sales engagement tools to manage outreach and pipeline activity.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple prospects and follow-ups simultaneously.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-evolving technology environment.
Self-driven, proactive, and results oriented.
Familiarity with apparel, retail, consumer goods, PLM, or enterprise software is an advantage.
