MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Summary: As Human Resources Manager at COAVE Therapeutics, you will be responsible for transforming human capital in a fast-growing biotech environment. You will build a unified company culture across distributed multicultural teams (France, USA), recruit and integrate critical scientific talent, develop employee capabilities, and ensure multi-country HR and compliance processes. You will be the strategic partner to the CEO in establishing strong HR foundations during Phase II growth. You will lead the implementation of Lucca HRIS for HR processes while coordinating with the outsourced payroll provider managing Silae.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Build and embody a common company culture and shared values across all locations despite geographic distance and cultural differences. Drive initiatives that create strong sense of belonging and inclusive environment. Measure culture engagement and adapt initiatives based on feedback.
· Lead full recruitment cycle for critical scientific and operational talent: develop sourcing strategy, conduct interviews assessing both competency and cultural fit, coordinate with function leads on technical assessments, manage offers and onboarding processes.
· Design and implement exceptional onboarding experience for new employees (both France and international), ensuring clarity of role expectations, quick integration into teams, and alignment with company culture and mission.
· Develop and execute retention strategy for key talent: conduct turnover analysis, lead annual performance reviews and career development discussions, identify succession risks, propose retention actions (compensation, mobility, development opportunities).
· Identify skill gaps and design training/development plans aligned with company growth and scientific context. Support internal mobility and career progression. Develop leadership capabilities across the organization.
· Ensure administrative rigor and multi-country legal compliance (France, USA, etc.) for all HR processes. Coordinate with outsourced payroll provider on Silae administration and reporting.
· Support implementation of Lucca HRIS for HR processes other than payroll (recruitment, HR core, e-learning, performance management). Configure light workflows, train users, establish reporting dashboards.
Complete other duties as requested in a timely and effective manner.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. Additional HR certifications (SHRM, CIPD, etc.) a plus.
Languages: Fluent English (required for multicultural environment and international coordination); French: fluent or near-fluent (required for France-based team and local compliance)
Experiences / Professional requirements:
· 5-7 years in general HR or specialized recruitment roles;
· Preferred: experience in Biotech, Pharma or pharmaceutical industry
· Experience recruiting scientific and technical profiles
· Experience managing multicultural and/or distributed teams;
· Familiarity with HRIS systems (ideally Lucca)
Specific knowledge (GxP responsibilities or any expert function):
· Multi-country employment law (France and USA);
· Payroll and benefits administration;
· Recruitment and talent management best practices;
· Change management for HRIS implementation
