Noïa Labs is building the next generation of human-AI interfaces — and we're doing it without drilling holes in anyone's head.
We're tackling one of the hardest open problems in human-AI interaction: decoding human intent directly from brain signals, in real time, non-invasively. Our approach combines optimized neural sensors with large-scale AI models trained across many users, a technical challenge that sits at the intersection of neuroscience, signal processing, and frontier AI.
Founded by the team behind NextMind (acquired by Snap) and backed by tier-1 investors, we're early, which means the architecture decisions you make, the models you train, and the systems you build will define the product for years.
If you want to work on a problem that genuinely hasn't been solved yet, we would like to talk.
Most software engineers build on top of solved infrastructure. This role is different.
As our Software Engineer, you'll be building the software layer of a non-invasive neural interface — the applications, services, and real-time pipelines that sit between raw brain signals and AI models that need to make sense of them.
That means latency constraints you won't find in typical web products, data interfaces that don't yet have established patterns, and constant collaboration with ML engineers and neuroscientists who will push your mental model of what software needs to do.
You'll own the stack end-to-end: backend APIs, model integration, internal tooling. Early enough that your architectural decisions will still be running in production years from now.
Design and build full-stack applications that connect neural signals, AI models, and user interactions in real time, across a stack where few established conventions exist
Create the interfaces and internal tools that power how our teams collect data, train models, and iterate on product
Architect the backend layer services, APIs, device integrations, neural decoders, databases, that holds everything together
Build agentic infrastructure from the ground up: tool use, memory, retrieval, context, and state management for AI systems that need to act in the world
Work directly with ML engineers and BCI researchers to bridge the gap between experimental prototypes and reliable product features
Raise the bar on reliability, performance, and observability — you'll know when something breaks because the people next to you will feel it immediately
5+ years building and shipping software in a full-stack, product, or backend-leaning role
A track record of owning features end-to-end.
Strong backend fundamentals: APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure
Solid grasp of software architecture, with genuine care for reliability, performance, and security — not as afterthoughts, but as part of how you build
High ownership, good product instincts, autonomy, leadership and decision making skills.
