The role will be employed by Setec Offshore Wind and assigned on a full-time secondment basis to Setec Sealand, a company dedicated to offshore engineering solutions headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The T&I Project Engineer supports the successful delivery of offshore engineering consultancy activities across tenders, projects and internal work scopes. The role involves the preparation, coordination and delivery of engineering tasks and technical documentation, ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance with company procedures, industry standards and client requirements.
Working as part of multidisciplinary teams, the T&I Project Engineer contributes to all phases of project execution, including concept studies, detailed engineering, procurement support, installation engineering and offshore operations support.
Key Role Functions
Support the activities of the business across offshore engineering consultancy projects, tenders, studies and internal work scopes.
Prepare and coordinate engineering deliverables
Assist in the development of engineering calculations, analyses, reports, procedures, specifications, drawings and technical documentation under the guidance of senior engineering personnel.
Perform Inter-Disciplinary Checks (IDC) and technical reviews of engineering deliverables produced by internal personnel and subcontractors.
Prepare technical presentation materials, engineering summaries, and supporting documentation and participate in project review meetings, workshops, design reviews, risk assessments and client discussions as required.
Support the coordination and management of subcontractors, suppliers and third-party consultants where required, including review of technical submissions and monitoring of deliverables against project requirements.
Provide engineering and technical support for offshore installation and operational scopes, including responding to technical queries, preparing engineering assessments and supporting operational decision-making where required.
Attend client offices, fabrication sites, ports, vessels and offshore locations as required to support project execution, installation activities, surveys and operational work scopes.
Contribute to tendering and business development activities through preparation of technical inputs, methodology descriptions, engineering estimates and supporting documentation.
Candidate Profile
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a project environment
Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and regulations
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team
Working Conditions
The role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to other offices, client sites and potentially offshore locations depending on project requirements.
