Business Development Executive
Role Purpose
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for originating, shaping, and qualifying new business opportunities, with a primary focus on new logos and net‑new material scope.
The role operates at the front end of the deal lifecycle, engaging C‑suite and senior decision‑makers to uncover transformational business opportunities and translate them into qualified, high‑value proposals and signed contracts.
The role exists to create high‑quality demand , shape sizeable opportunities , and drive material growth by converting executive conversations into qualified deals, proposals and signed contracts.
Responsibilities
Market Engagement & Opportunity Origination
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through executive relationships, industry engagement, networking, direct outreach, and strategic market activity
- Build trusted relationships with CxO‑level and senior decision‑makers to understand strategic priorities, business challenges, and transformation agendas
- Position the company’s endtoend value proposition in a compelling, business outcome oriented manner
Deal Shaping & Qualification
- Lead early stage opportunity qualification , including:
- Strategic fit
- Deal economics
- Competitive positioning
- Client decision structure and buying intent
- Drive deal shaping activities before formal sales engagement , ensuring opportunities are:
- Material in size
- Executable
- Aligned to client value and company growth priorities
- Decide, in collaboration with leadership, whether opportunities should be pursued, refined, disqualified, or transitioned
Experience Requirements
- Strong background in Business Development , with a focus on new sales and new logo acquisition
- Proven experience engaging with C‑suite, board‑level, and senior enterprise stakeholders
- Industry experience with the ability to adapt messaging and value propositions
- Demonstrated capability in strategic thinking, deal shaping, and roadmap planning for complex organizations
