The Senior Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating on-field maintenance activities as well as different kinds of extraordinary activities that can have an impact on station performance, attractivity, or customer experience.
They work closely with local contractors and the local operations team to plan, schedule, and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring station quality, safety, and availability while keeping up with a budget.
The Senior Maintenance Coordinator will report to the local Operations Manager, and act as his/her right arm on all these matters. They will also work closely with the central Maintenance Quality Manager to ensure that global standards are implemented in their market
Local coordination of subcontracted maintenance activities

Implement global maintenance plans and standards in the local market.

Plan, schedule, and follow up on preventive and corrective civil/architectural maintenance at stations (canopies, structures, pavements, etc.).

Prioritise interventions based on safety, customer impact, and cost.

Provide input on local adaptations, ensure alignment of local procedures with global templates, give feedback and share insights regularly with the Maintenance Quality Manager.

Establish yearly roadmap, track deviations and follow up on budget.
Local coordination of equipment retrofit and pilots

Coordinate with central teams to upgrade stations to global standards.

Actively look for optimisations and cost reductions opportunities within your scope of work.

Run pilot projects end-to-end, involve all relevant internal and external stakeholders from the initial idea to the roll out, and capture lessons learned for future improvements.

When needed, convert pilots into an organised operation regionwide.
Collaboration with local operations and central teams

Work closely with Local Operations to align maintenance priorities with operational needs and station performance.

Coordinate with Construction / Project Delivery on warranty cases and handover of new/rebuilt stations into operations.

Provide practical feedback to Engineering & Technology (via the Maintenance Quality Manager) on design, materials, and details that impact maintainability or durability.

Provide support to the construction team in case of upgrades/site expansions
Contractor & supplier management (local)

Act as the primary day-to-day contact for local maintenance contractors.

Request and compare quotes, coordinate site access, HSE requirements, and work permits.

Monitor contractor performance and escalate recurring issues as needed.

Drive contract negotiations and budget follow-up.
Quality assurance & inspections

Organise and perform regular station inspections.

Document defects and non-conformities, verify quality of completed works before approving invoices

Flag recurring or systemic issues and actively push for internal root cause analysis via the Maintenance Quality Manager and the Engineering & Technology team.
Data, tools & reporting

Ensure all maintenance activities, defects, and inspections are accurately and timely logged in the maintenance / ticketing systems. Keep records and documentation up to date.

Provide regular reports on open/overdue work orders, contractor performance, and completed works.

Use data and insights to propose optimization of maintenance frequencies, scopes, or contractor set-ups.

Use data to propose optimisations and identify cost reduction opportunities.

5+ years of experience in maintenance coordination, facility management, construction site coordination, or a similar operational role.
-
Hands-on background working with contractors, suppliers, or field technicians.
-
Experience with outdoor infrastructure or civil engineering assets is required.
-
Experience with electrical installations is required.
-
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Facility Management, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
Skills & Competencies

Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple contractors, sites, and tasks simultaneously.

Good understanding of basic civil/structural components and typical defects. Able to read technical drawings and scopes of work. Comfortable with digital tools and IA.
