At Orakl Oncology, we are accelerating the development of oncology treatments. Today, fewer than 5% of new cancer drugs succeed in clinical trials. Clearly, new methods are needed. We combine cutting-edge biology and AI to build the next generation of insight platforms with the world’s largest cohort of patient tumor avatars. These avatars fuel our AI-powered predictive engine, helping to anticipate clinical trial outcomes, validate therapies, and uncover new drug candidates. By generating multimodal, real-world data, we deliver insights that consistently outperform existing solutions.
Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to bring more effective treatments to patients who need them - and to make drug development smarter, faster, and more personalized. We collaborate with top hospitals, research institutes, and pharmaceutical companies worldwide. Backed by leading investors, we are a fast-growing, mission-driven startup at the intersection of science and technology.
The company is growing fast, and we are now seeking the best talents to come and join our exciting and ambitious team in the fight against cancer - join us!
Orakl Oncology works on a large cohort of patient-derived organoids (PDO) to predict clinical outcomes of patients and derisk clinical trials. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Lab Technician to help us scale our cell culture and experimental platforms. In this position, you will:
Work on the expansion of the Orakl biobank: you will work on patient specimens and organoid cell lines to increase the amount of data collected, thus improving our understanding of cancer. In particular, this will involve preparing culture media and handling several organoid lines in parallel.
Assist with the reception and the processing of patient samples : you will be tasked with receiving, transporting and preparing patient specimens to make them fit for cell culture - occasionally outside regular working hours, to ensure timely preparation for analysis.
Contribute to the core experimental procedures at Orakl: you will help our scientists and engineers and contribute to our research work, including 3D cell culture and drug screening experimentations on proprietary protocols.
Participate to make the lab run smoothly: you will be involved in the laboratory maintenance and traceability of the lab activities and you will need to anticipate the needs for consumables and reagents
BSc (or equivalent degree such as BTS, DUT, Licence) in cellular biology, biotechnology or any related discipline.
Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, 3D cell culture and preferably organoid culture.
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational rigour.
Flexibility, and a taste for overcoming operational challenges.
Flexibility to work occasional late hours.
A genuine enthusiasm and passion for teamwork and learning.
A general understanding and genuine curiosity for cancer biology
Capability to interact in an interdisciplinary setting with biologists, ML engineers and researchers
Strong communication skills
As part of an international team, a good understanding of English and the ability to communicate in English are a plus
