As a member of the EMEA R&D team, the Senior Application Expert is responsible for supporting the development of innovative products for the packaging industry, with a strong focus on understanding the interaction between packaging materials, customer packaging equipment, and the packaged product. The role involves close collaboration with both the R&D Process team and the R&D Analytical team.
The candidate will design and execute test plans, perform fitness-for-use evaluations, clearly communicate findings, and provide expert recommendations on the appropriate path forward to customers, internal teams, and key stakeholders.
In addition, the Senior Application Expert will collaborate with the equipment and materials teams, as well as Field Support, Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain, to ensure that existing products consistently meet Sealed Air’s high performance and quality standards

Qualifications:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Packaging Engineering/Science, Food/Meat Science, or related field experience with a minimum 2 to 4 years working in a packaging discipline. Equipment and automation experience or background are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience creating data-driven reports to communicate technical ideas
- Experience managing multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines
- Professional, highly-motivated, reliable, and solution-oriented. Autonomy, initiative, leadership, ability to adapt easily to new situations
- Team playerable to work effectively on projects with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is a must
- Fluent in English is a must;
