Role
The Logistics & Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s overall operational activities to ensure operational excellence, service quality, and business performance.
This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational management, including logistics supervision, team leadership, process optimization, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
The Logistics & Operations Manager plays a key role in delivering premium customer experience while maintaining high standards of efficiency, quality, and safety.
Job Description:
Operations Management
- Oversee all operational and logistics activities, including inbound, storage, order preparation, and outbound processes.
- Ensure smooth operational flows and on-time execution.
- Guarantee inventory accuracy and product availability.
- Optimize operational processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Define and improve storage methods, warehouse organization, and product flows.
- Supervise packaging operations and ensure shipment quality standards and compliance.
- Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of operational equipment and tools.
- Guarantee compliance with internal procedures and safety regulations.
Team Management
- Lead, manage, and develop operational teams (warehouse operators, shipping & inbound managers).
- Organize workforce planning and adapt staffing levels according to business needs.
- Support employee development and performance management.
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Foster a positive, high-performance, and solution-oriented work environment.
- Collaborate with HR on administrative and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards.
Performance and Continuous Improvement
- Define, monitor, and analyze operational KPIs and performance metrics.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
- Reduce operational lead times and improve service quality.
- Control and optimize operational costs.
- Contribute to budget management and operational planning.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digital process improvements.
- Provide regular reporting and operational updates to management.
Performance and Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Marketing and Finance
- Coordinate relationships with logistics providers and transportation partners.
- Ensure smooth communication and alignment between departments.
- Contribute actively to strategic and operational projects.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in French and English
- Experience in Operations & Management
- Previous experience in wine storage, transportation and WMS Management
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, data-driven decision making and organizational skills
- Aptitude for digital and technological environments (WMS, Zebra, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive and solution-oriented attitude
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Passion for logistics, wine & customer relationships
- Leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to wine and spirits storage
