Job Purpose:
The objective of the Yacht Accountant is to manage a portfolio of yacht management clients, providing detailed monthly accounts including payroll, budgeting and assisting the captain with the financial operations of the yacht.
Main Accountabilities & Duties:
- Provide accurate accounts (numerically & categorised) to the owner /representative.
- Arrange timely payment of invoices.
- Communicate effectively with the captain and owner / representative.
- Provide detailed fund requests.
- Arrange timely payment of crew salaries.
- Point of contact for owners / representatives & captains on all financial matters.
- Issuing monthly fund requests to owners / representatives for forthcoming expenses.
- Arranging payments on behalf of the yacht.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding invoicing to the yachts.
- Liaising with the captain to ensure that they have sufficient cash / debit card funds to operate the yacht.
- Provide detailed monthly accounts to the owner / representative.
- Be available to answer any financial queries from the owner’s office.
- APA management.
Knowledge & Skills & Experience:
- Experience of working in a pressured environment, taking full responsibility for their workload, ability to demonstrate time management skills.
- Previous experience within a numerical field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluent English, both written & spoken.
- Strong IT skills.
- Strong team player.
- Experience within the yachting industry, or a related field, is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3 Years minimum professional experience.
