As part of international projects in the Oil & Gas sector, we are looking for an experienced PROCESS SAFETY ENGINEER to carry out process safety audits and reviews on various onshore and offshore facilities.
The mission will assess the safety of industrial installations, their overall condition, and the organization in place to ensure safe operations under normal conditions as well as in emergency situations.
The assignments may involve several international sites across Africa and Latin America.
Technical Review of Installations
- Carry out Process Safety reviews of onshore and offshore industrial facilities
- Analyze equipment: design, "as-built" compliance, overall condition, and structural integrity
- Review technical documentation: PFDs, P&IDs, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL studies, ATEX classifications, and fire zoning
- Assess safety systems: Fire & Gas, LoTo, MOC, fire and explosion protection systems, flare systems, and vents
- Verify equipment integrity management, corrosion management, and Safety Critical Elements (SCE)
Organizational and Operational Review
- Assess normal and emergency operating procedures
- Review team competencies: process operators, control room operators, maintenance personnel, emergency response teams, and HSE staff
- Analyze training plans and competency matrices
- Review degraded mode management systems
- Evaluate Management of Change (MOC) procedures
- Review emergency response, evacuation, and rescue plans
- Analyze human factors and process alarm management
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze incidents and undesired events
- Audit management systems
- Prepare recommendations and action plans for identified critical points
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Process Safety within the Oil & Gas sector
- Proven experience on both onshore and offshore facilities
- Strong knowledge of HAZOP / HAZID / SIL methodologies
- Solid understanding of process safety systems and hydrocarbon facilities
- Fluent English is mandatory
- Fluent French is required
- Spanish is a plus

Location: International assignment with travel across various Oil & Gas industrial sites.
