Founded in 1972, our school is the oldest Bilingual Montessori School in France and has several campuses around Paris. The Orsay Campus, situated in the beautiful American Church of Paris, currently welcomes 100 children aged 2 to 11 years old.
We are currently looking for an English-speaking teacher for our 8 -11 year-old class in the beautiful surroundings of the American Church on the Quai d’Orsay.
Our network of alternative bilingual schools have a precise pedagogical triptych:
- Active teaching methods focused on the development of the child's confidence, autonomy, ability to learn and individual rhythm, including Montessori pedagogy.
- A guarantee and excellence in learning the fundamentals.
- Bilingual education from age 2.
The 8 to 11 year-old class at the Orsay Campus welcomes about 20 children from all around the world and is supervised by a French-speaking teacher, an English-speaking teacher.
The ideal profile is someone who
- is passionate about education and child development.
- is a native English speaker
- has experience in teaching
- has a teaching qualification in Montessori a PGCE a B. Ed..
- has an excellent knowledge of alternative teaching methods including Montessori
- is familiar with the expectations of the French National Education system or the UK/US national education system
- is motivated to get involved in the life of the school, welcoming parents, developing pedagogical projects..
- is a team player
