We pride ourselves in building a festival that attracts and showcases diverse and unique projects, giving a platform to independent talent. Every year ÉCU offers unpaid internships to creative and talented individuals who are willing to work hard and have fun! It is an exciting way to observe the industry at close hand and learn directly from people who are working within it.
Our film creator interns have the opportunity to put their creativity and skills to the test by creating weekly video content for ÉCU’s communication plan. These videos range from simple editing to scripted content which the intern will have to write and shoot. The intern will develop his communication and storytelling skills, improve his editing skills, and learn how to effectively coordinate and work within an international team.
The intern should speak English at a minimum B2 level - French is not required but appreciated. All other language skills are welcome! In addition, this role requires .
What we offer:

- 35 hours working week, from 09:45 - 17:00 Monday to Friday
- Workspace in central Paris, located between Arc de Triomphe and Palais des Congrès (actual location to be disclosed once the recruitment process has a positive outcome)

We do NOT offer:
- Monetary remuneration
- Accommodation
- Coverage on transport or food expenses
- Obtaining visas or other travel documents.
From time to time, we organise events outside of working hours: that can be in the evening or over the weekend. It won’t be mandatory for the interns to help or to attend those events, but it is strongly recommended as it is a good chance to meet people working in the film industry, do networking and bonding with the ÉCU team. However, If your internship will take place during the Festival you will be required to work during the Festival’s weekend: those hours will then be taken off your schedule the following week.
