Our Compliance & Risks team, is responsible for detecting and combating fraud risks for Ageras and its clients by leveraging the data we have. The goal is to implement pragmatic solutions to improve our clients' security. This can range from providing our fraud and AML (Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing) operators with effective tools and precise data so they can manually review sensitive transactions, to collaborating with technical teams to modify the behavior of certain features. Regarding our stack, our architecture is structured in microservices and cloud functions, and we use Python, Nodejs, Typescript, FastAPI, Dataflow, Airflow, GCP, Terraform, and dbt for data modeling.
Your responsibilities will include:
Tackle fraud daily by designing and deploying innovative security scenarios
Build and maintain robust data pipelines to support regulatory reporting for financial institutions, including the design of scalable, future-proof data models
Work hand-in-hand with teams across Fraud, Compliance, Security, and Tech to ensure seamless integration and collaboration
Support operations teams in their day-to-day use of the Back Office, focusing on performance, usability, and efficiency
Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code, conduct thorough testing, and participate in code reviews to uphold high quality standards
Implement automated testing to guarantee product reliability, improve performance, and quickly resolve production issues
Promote best practices in software development, such as domain-driven design, clean code principles, pair programming, and mentoring
Contribute to architectural decisions by proposing and implementing forward-thinking technical solutions
Paris - hybrid (3 days/week in office) - or full remote
Not within commuting distance of Paris?
Apply anyway for some Product & Tech roles, a remote setup may be considered in Berlin, Amsterdam, or Copenhagen, depending on profile and team needs.
At least 5+ years of backend development experience in Python, and you know how to structure complex systems
You're comfortable working with a JavaScript/TypeScript environment and have hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
You have a solid track record in building scalable, reliable, and evolutive data pipelines
You’re an effective communicator, able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
You pay close attention to detail and are deeply committed to delivering high-quality, impactful solutions
Bonus: You’ve worked in highly regulated industries such as banking or insurance, and have experience with fraud detection or recommendation systems
You’re fluent in English and thrive in collaborative, fast-moving environments
