VinoTech · Dijon / Burgundy, France · Full-time · On-site or hybrid
We are building the operating system for the wine industry. VinoTech is a B2B SaaS platform that centralises how wine producers, négociants and distributors run their businesses — from production to logistics to commercial operations. We are based in Burgundy, which means our pilot partners are literally our neighbours.
We are a small founding team: a CEO, a CTO with a PhD in machine learning from CentraleSupélec who previously led a 30-person R&D team at Capgemini, and a Head of Commercial with deep roots in the Burgundy wine trade. We have a working product and are now building the team to take it to production and into the hands of our first paying customers.
We are hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer as one of our first two technical hires. This is not a feature factory role. You will own the application layer end to end — architecture decisions, code quality standards, testing infrastructure, observability, and the experience that pilot partners see every day. You will also help establish the engineering culture that the team we build after you will inherit.
What you will own:
— The full application layer of a modern TypeScript / Next.js platform
— Test coverage strategy and CI/CD release pipeline
— Observability and monitoring across the application tier
— Code review culture and engineering standards
— Day-to-day technical mentorship of interns
What we are looking for:
— 5 to 8 years of professional experience, with at least one B2B SaaS product shipped and maintained in production
— Expert-level Next.js App Router and TypeScript — not React in general, specifically Next.js 15 with server components and server actions
— Strong PostgreSQL and ORM experience at scale
— Experience building testing infrastructure from scratch, not just writing tests
— Production observability experience — structured logging, error tracking, alerting
— Someone who thinks about what happens when a real customer hits an edge case at 11pm, not just whether the feature works in development
What will set you apart:
— Experience in a compliance-heavy or regulated B2B domain
— Comfort reading Python when tracing bugs across service boundaries
— French language skills — our pilot partners are French wine businesses
