Progress Partners is a fast-growing technology company building and scaling next-generation SaaS and mobile platforms. We blend creativity with data-driven execution to ship high-impact products — including AI-powered tools, productivity platforms, and workflow software — used by millions of people in more than 160 countries.
Our global team of experts in software development, product design, growth, and analytics collaborates across time zones to deliver category-defining innovations. We work end-to-end across the product lifecycle: design, build, launch, and scale.
If you’re passionate about building transformative products, Progress Partners is a place to make a lasting impact.
We are building the People function from scratch, and we are looking for the first dedicated People Operations Specialist to own day-to-day execution end-to-end.
You will work directly with the Head of People & Operations. Your job is to take the lifecycle and operational work — onboarding, offboarding, compliance execution, contractor and vendor administration, performance check-ins, and all the moving parts of running a remote, multi-country team — and run it cleanly so the rest of the function can focus on strategy.
This is a hands-on role. You will not be designing the function from scratch — that is already happening — but you will own the execution that makes the function actually work, and you will help iterate the processes as we scale.
Onboarding & offboarding
Run end-to-end onboarding for new employees and contractors across multiple countries — pre-start checklist, tools and access, documents, intro plans, first-week structure.
Coordinate background checks and reference checks for all new hires.
Select, order, and ship welcome packages globally.
Manage equipment procurement, shipping, and asset tracking across countries.
Book travel and flights for candidates, new hires, and team offsites.
Run offboarding cleanly — access revocation, equipment return, final paperwork, exit conversations coordination.
People Ops & lifecycle execution
Own the employee and contractor lifecycle end-to-end (joins, role changes, status changes, exits) across all countries.
Maintain HRIS (Deel) — data integrity, lifecycle updates, reporting.
Manage EOR/PEO relationships and country-specific employment vendors where used.
Execute and continuously improve the policies and lifecycle processes (remote work norms, time-off, conduct, confidentiality, security).
Run day-to-day operating side of our multi-country compliance map; flag legal/accounting needs to the Head of People & Operations.
Coordinate with the Talent Acquisition Lead on candidate-to-employee handoff.
Performance & role clarity execution
Run 15five for ongoing performance check-ins; ensure cadence completion across the team.
Maintain role scorecards and 30/60/90-day plans for new hires.
Support managers with the structure and templates they need to run their teams (without owning their content).
Workflows, tools & reporting
Run People Ops workflows and projects in ClickUp — checklists, automations, status tracking.
Track and report on People Ops KPIs (onboarding completion, lifecycle accuracy, HRIS data integrity, compliance map coverage, performance check-in completion).
Identify operational bottlenecks and propose process improvements; document everything you build.
2+ years of People Operations, HR Operations, or HR Generalist experience — with meaningful time spent on execution.
Direct experience operating People Ops in a remote, multi-country company with a mix of employees and contractors.
Hands-on experience with Deel (or a comparable EOR/contractor management platform like Remote or Velocity Global).
Experience running 15five (or a comparable performance/engagement platform such as Lattice, Leapsome, or Culture Amp).
Comfortable running operational workflows in ClickUp (or comparable: Asana, Linear, Notion projects).
Comfort with KPI definition, tracking, and reporting — you understand what gets measured gets managed.
Strong operational rigor — checklists, follow-ups, no dropped balls. You take ownership of details others would miss.
Strong written English; comfortable communicating across timezones primarily in writing.
Self-directed — you can run your own week without a manager directing you day-to-day.
Comfort with ambiguity — willing to build the answer where one does not yet exist.
Familiarity with employment frameworks across multiple countries (worker classification, contractor agreements, EU specifics).
Background in startups or fast-growth tech companies.
Experience with policy writing and building compliance documentation from scratch.
Experience coordinating workplace logistics for remote teams across borders.
We’re fully remote and distributed across time zones. We default to async, communicate in writing, and trust people to deliver outcomes — not log hours. Decisions are transparent, ownership is clear, and your work is visible from day one.
Remote-first — work from anywhere in the world, no relocation required.
Flexible hours — we measure outcomes, not time at a desk.
Unlimited PTO — take the time you need to rest, recharge, and do your best work.
Learning & development budget — courses, books, conferences, certifications, whatever helps you grow.
Performance-based compensation — your impact directly shapes your pay and career trajectory.
A small, senior, collaborative team where your work is visible and your decisions matter.
The chance to build products used by millions of people across 160+ countries.
