Apprentice HR legal counsel - 24 months (or 12)
Within the Employment Law / Employee Relations team, and under the supervision of the Head of Employment Legal & Labour Relations, you will support legal and HR professionals in managing a wide range of labour law matters in a complex and dynamic international environment.
This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop strong expertise in French labour law, social relations, and HR legal advisory while working closely with HR professionals in a dynamic large international company.
As an Employment Law Apprentice, your main responsibilities will include:
Legal advisory support: Assist in providing day-to-day employment law advice to HR teams; Contribute to the analysis of individual and collective employment issues; Participate in the drafting of legal notes and guidance for internal stakeholders
Individual employee relations : Support the management of disciplinary procedures and terminations ; Assist in handling sensitive employee relations cases
Collective labour relations : Participate in the preparation of meetings with employee representative bodies (CSE, CSSCT, CSE sub-committees, DS); Contribute to the drafting or review of collective agreements and internal policies
Legal monitoring and compliance Conduct legal research and monitor developments in French labour law and collective bargaining agreements (e.g. Syntec); Support the drafting of legal updates and internal communications
Projects and transversal topics : Assist on HR/legal projects (organizational changes, compliance initiatives, global policies deployment) ; Prepare PowerPoint presentations, Contribute to improving internal processes, tools, and documentation
Master’s degree (Master II) in Labour Law or Employment Law / Industrial Relations , eg Droit et Pratique des Relations de Travail (DPRT) , Diplôme de Juriste Conseil en Entreprise (DJCE)
Strong academic background in French employment law
First experience (internship or apprenticeship) in labour law, HR legal or law firm is a plus
Solid analytical and legal reasoning skills and good judgment
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Strong drafting skills in both French and English
Rigor, attention to detail, and strong sense of organization
Ability to work under pressure.
Trustworthy and reliable.
Proactive, curious, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary HR environment
A hands-on experience in a highly skilled Employment Law team
Exposure to complex and strategic HR legal topics
