The Spare Parts Obsolete & Material Lifecycle Expert mission is to ensure the structured management of spare parts obsolescence and lifecycle evolution, transforming risks linked to material phase-out into commercial and operational opportunities, and enabling sustainable portfolio development.
- Monitor and manage obsolescence and phase-out notifications received from suppliers for commercial spare parts components.

Perform proactive supplier screening activities to identify potential obsolescence risks and upcoming phase-outs.

Create and maintain obsolescence notifications in SAP, including PO/OB status updates and estimated phase-out dates.

Analyze Installed Base (IB) impact for SAP PLM-designed equipment where BOM and IB information are available.

Assess component criticality and validate technical compatibility of proposed replacement solutions.

Define and validate “1-to-1” replacement solutions proposed by suppliers for obsolete components.

Interface with Service Engineering teams in case of technical doubts or when replacement specifications require further validation.

Evaluate and validate alternative replacement solutions when the proposed replacement is not fully compatible.

Identify and assess alternative suppliers capable of providing equivalent “1-to-1” replacement components.

Support cost assessment and participate in negotiations related to alternative replacement solutions and suppliers.

Ensure accurate lifecycle, replacement, and obsolescence data management within SAP and related systems.

Collaborate with Sourcing, Engineering, Spare Parts and Suppliers to support continuity of service and spare parts availability.

Contribute to technical analysis and resolution of obsolescence cases impacting Sidel installed equipment.

Support the preparation and distribution of Obsolescence / Phase-Out bulletins and related item lists.
- Experience in Product Lifecycle Management, Aftermarket Services, Supply Chain, or Technical Coordination roles within industrial or manufacturing environments.

Technical Background/Diploma

Strong organizational and project management skills; experience leading cross-functional initiatives.

Analytical mindset with ability to work with large data sets and tools to extract insights and forecasts.

Clear understanding of industrial product structures (BOMs, materials, substitutions) and ERP data flows (SAP preferred).
