We are looking for an experienced Senior to Architect level Go Backend Developer to join a project focused on designing and evolving scalable distributed backend systems. The role combines hands-on Go development with architectural ownership, including system design, microservice architecture, API design, technical decision-making, and improving engineering processes. The ideal candidate is a Senior Go Engineer who has grown into an architectural role and can independently design complex systems, balance technical trade-offs, guide engineering teams, and communicate architectural decisions to both technical and business stakeholders.

Design and evolve scalable distributed systems in Go, focusing on performance, reliability, and maintainability

Define technical architecture for complex systems, including microservices, APIs, data storage, and event-driven solutions

Translate business requirements into technical plans and identify risks and constraints early

Design REST/gRPC APIs with versioning and backward compatibility

Drive architecture reviews, create technical documentation, and ensure engineering standards

Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote Go best practices

Improve CI/CD processes and engineering workflows to increase delivery quality and efficiency

Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and stakeholders to align technical decisions with business goals

Technical Skills
-
7+ years of software development experience
-
4-5+ years of production experience with Golang
-
Strong knowledge of Go concurrency patterns: goroutines, channels, context, memory model, and synchronization primitives

Experience designing distributed, microservice-based, and high-load backend systems

Strong understanding of REST/gRPC API design and integration patterns

Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), including schema design, transactions, and query optimization

Experience with message brokers and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS)

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions

Understanding of system design principles: scalability, fault tolerance, security, observability, logging, and tracing

Experience with AI technologies and implementing/configuring AI solutions within teams

Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated/high-compliance domains
