Job Knowledge:
- The incumbent is required to know electrical theory, ohms law, circuit wiring, the laws of thermodynamics and their application to HVAC system basic design, installation, repair, operations and maintenance.
- Knowledge of how to size basic electrical equipment including generators, transformers, motor starters, feeder and branch circuit wiring, circuit breakers and other electrical equipment/components, and how to use the various test instruments to analyze and repair electrical problems. 500 to 3,000 Watts: Recreation, power tools, small appliances, lights. 3,100 to 6,000 Watts: Recreation, heating and cooling, mid-size appliances. 6,100 to 10,000 Watts: Emergency power, heating and cooling, large appliances, water heaters. 10,100 Watts and Above: Emergency power and whole home. HVAC equipment includes Mini Split Air Conditioning Systems, Central Air Conditioning Systems, Wall Air Conditioners, Portable Air Conditioners and Window Air Conditioners, Furnaces and hot water heating systems include point of source, gas and electrical fired systems.
- The incumbent must have detailed technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical equipment and systems. His/her knowledge base must be broad, encompassing many different maps and models, able to perform the required maintenance on each system’s equipment.
- Must have a good technical understanding of major building electrical/mechanical systems and equipment. Knowledge of International Building Code standards including electrical and mechanical requirements, and fire and life safety codes is required.

Skills And Abilities:
Knowledge of performance metrics to manage team data to assist in the prioritization of critical assets and optimize the lifespan of systems and components.
Good computer skills in developing reports, time management reporting, and tracking work events with critical milestones.
Ability to perform routine decision-making skills related to the performance of team execution strategies.
Must have a valid French driving license B. Successful completion of SMITH System Defensive training.
