About the Department:
To strengthen our HR and Legal teams in France, we are looking for an experienced Labour & Employment Law Counsel. Ideally, you bring solid expertise in French employment law, gained within the retail, automotive, or another fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

In addition, you fit in a dynamic environment and you have a solution-oriented attitude. As Finance Assistant you will work in a team with Finance Manager and Finance Specialist . You will have a chance to broaden your accounting knowledge and be a part of fast growing company.
1. Legal Advisory & Employment Law Expertise
- Advise and support HR teams, line managers and senior leadership on all employment law matters (contracts, disciplinary proceedings, terminations, working-time arrangements, etc.)
- Draft clear and actionable legal opinions, briefing notes and recommendations
- Analyse and interpret new legislative, regulatory and collective bargaining developments applicable to the company
2. Individual Labour Law Management
- Draft, negotiate and manage all employment contracts and amendments (open-ended, fixed-term, part-time, apprenticeship, internal mobility)
- Lead disciplinary procedures and contract termination processes (dismissals, mutual termination agreements, settlement agreements), ensuring full legal compliance
- Handle fitness-for-work proceedings in coordination with occupational health
- Support employees and managers on sick leave, workplace accidents and occupational disease matters
3. Collective Labour Relations
- Prepare, organise and legally secure meetings with employee representative bodies (Works Council / CSE, CSSCT)
- Negotiate and draft collective agreements (annual wage negotiations, remote work policy, profit-sharing, workforce planning / GEPP, etc.)
- Manage relations with trade unions and ensure compliance with information and consultation obligations
- Support restructuring or reorganisation projects requiring Works Council information/consultation
4. Employment Litigation Management
- Monitor and coordinate the defence of Labour Tribunal claims in liaison with external counsel
- Draft defence briefs and procedural documents
- Assess litigation risk and provide recommendations to minimise the company's exposure
- Lead URSSAF audit files and Labour Inspectorate proceedings
5. Compliance, Legal Watch & HR Policy
- Maintain an active legal watch and disseminate relevant updates to relevant teams
- Update internal policies, the staff handbook (reglement interieur), code of ethics and HR procedures
- Participate in social audits and drive corrective action plans
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the company's social policy
Education
- Master's degree (M2) in Labour Law, Employment Law or HR Law — French or equivalent European qualification
- DJCE, bar qualification (CAPA) or equivalent specialisation is a plus
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in employment/labour law, gained in-house (legal or HR department) and/or at a specialised law firm
- Experience in a multi-site or international context is an asset
Technical Skills — Mandatory
- In-depth command of the French Labour Code (Code du travail), Social Security law and applicable collective bargaining agreements (CCN)
- Proven experience handling Labour Tribunal proceedings (Conseil de prud'hommes)
- Sound knowledge of employee representative body (IRP) consultation procedures
- Proficiency in legal research databases (Legifrance, Dalloz, Lexis 360, Navis Social)
- Good command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
