We are looking for a Technical Project Leader to drive the qualification of embedded software used in Schneider Electric protection devices intended for nuclear applications.
Your Role
As a Technical Project Leader – Embedded Software Qualification, you will be responsible for coordinating the technical and documentary activities required to demonstrate compliance of embedded software with nuclear standards and customer qualification requirements.
Acting as a key interface between R&D teams, subject matter experts, quality teams, and customers, you will ensure that all evidence supporting product qualification is complete, consistent, and compliant throughout the product lifecycle.
You will play a critical role in securing customer approval for products intended for use in nuclear installations and other highly regulated environments.
Your Responsibilities
Technical Qualification Leadership

Lead the preparation and consolidation of qualification packages for embedded software used in nuclear applications.

Coordinate technical contributors involved in producing qualification evidence and supporting documentation.

Manage project execution, including planning, deliverables, milestones, costs, and contractual commitments.

Ensure consistency and completeness of technical information provided by multiple stakeholders.
Collaboration with R&D Teams

Work closely with Schneider Electric R&D teams, including international development centers, to collect and analyze the documentation required for qualification activities.

Review software development, verification, validation, and lifecycle management practices.

Identify compliance gaps and coordinate corrective actions when necessary.

Support R&D organizations in implementing compensatory measures required to achieve qualification objectives.
Compliance Assessment & Nuclear Standards

Assess compliance against applicable standards and regulations, including RCC-E and IEC 62671.

Analyze design documentation and build clear compliance justifications for each requirement.

Review, challenge, and approve Evaluation and Application Reports (REA) before customer submission.

Ensure traceability, consistency, and quality of all qualification deliverables.
Customer Interaction & Audit Support

Present qualification documentation and project status to customers.

Participate in technical reviews and qualification meetings.

Prepare and support customer documentation audits.

Contribute to successful qualification reviews and final approval of the products.

Your Profile
-
Master's degree or Engineering degree in Embedded Software, Computer Science, Electronics, Industrial Systems, or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in a technical role, ideally within critical or highly regulated industries.

Experience in sectors such as nuclear, rail, aerospace, defense, automotive, or medical devices is highly valued.

Strong interest in software qualification, compliance, and functional safety topics.
Your Skills

Experience with embedded software development in safety-critical environments.

Good understanding of V-cycle development, verification & validation, requirements traceability, configuration management, and change management.

Knowledge of embedded software architecture and design.

Understanding of good practices for embedded C software development.

Familiarity with software qualification methodologies and compliance processes.

Ability to review, analyze, and synthesize complex technical documentation.

Strong project coordination capabilities, balancing quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

Ability to work with multidisciplinary and international teams.

Fluent English and French, written and spoken.

For this France based position, the expected pay range is EUR 63.200 - EUR 94.800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives (annual bonus) at target. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located in France. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Individual’s compensation is positioned within the range based on several factors such as knowledge, job-related skills, experience, potential and relevant education or training.
