The aim of the internship is to participate to the design of the voice capture system of a True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphones reference design. It will be composed of several microphones as well as an accelerometer (AXL) placed inside the earbud. Several topics can be handled:
- Microphones positioning and beamforming techniques ;
- Acoustic Noise Reduction (NR) algorithms ;
- Combination of acoustic and AXL data to optimize NR and voice quality.
- Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing techniques for Audio Signals ;
- Scripting and algorithm prototyping (Python, Matlab) with version control ;
- Ability to read, analyse and explain research papers ;
- Appreciated: experience with microphone arrays signal processing ;
- Appreciated: experience with speech enhancement techniques (noise suppression, echo cancellation).
