Job Description
Main challenge
Join us at a pivotal moment: the launch of pre-production for an ambitious new AA PC/Console project. You will have for mission to build our Studio quality assurance foundations from the ground up.
You will become the studio's ground truth for quality: owning the relationship with our internal QA team, defining what and how we test, and standardizing the tools and processes that let developers turn features into stable, well-tested builds — quickly and with confidence.
What it means on a daily basis
You'll be the link between the studio and our global internal test team, from build handoff to the final bug report.
-
Deliver builds to the QA team, document their scope and content, and define what needs to be tested based on content maturity and test type (progression, compliance, etc.)
-
Build and continuously refine the studio's overall test strategy
-
Set up and maintain smoke tests across PC and PS5 — with Switch2 and Xbox on the roadmap — grounded in console TRC requirements and their implementation in Unreal Engine
-
Develop scripting and tooling (Python, AI-assisted tools) to speed up and standardize testing
-
Standardize the team's ticketing process and act as their day-to-day point of contact, keeping bug reports and build status clearly visible to Producing
What success will look like
A few months in, you'll know the role is working when:
-
Builds are delivered to QA reliably, on time, and clearly documented
-
A test strategy is in place and consistently applied across the distributed team
-
Smoke test coverage is live and expanding across platforms
-
The ticketing process is standardized and saves developers real time
-
Quality issues are caught early, with clear, always-available reporting on bug and build status
Who you would be working with
You'll report to the Producing lead, with daily syncs and a weekly team meeting, and work closely with two other members of the Producing team on a daily basis.
Your internal stakeholders will be :
-
The internal QA team
-
Programming, Art and Game Design teams, to define unit and functional test strategies
-
Internal studio teams building Switch2 and Xbox builds
Qualifications
What you need to succeed
-
Comfortable with JIRA, including JQL and building dashboard filters
-
Python scripting skills, with an interest in building or adapting AI-assisted testing tools
-
Knowledge of console TRC (certification/compliance requirements) and how to implement them
-
Familiarity with Unreal Engine, including its automated testing systems and automation pipelines
-
Experience setting up smoke tests across PC and console platforms
Who you are
You're also highly organized, with a knack for clear, intelligible reporting — able to communicate the state of things at a glance. You're autonomous, comfortable standardizing or improving existing processes, and at ease working with distributed, cross-timezone teams. French and English both come naturally to you, with English increasingly used day to day.
Where this role can take you
This is a foundational role in a discipline the studio is building from scratch, with real, lasting influence on how testing gets done.
You can get full ownership of the quality assurance strategy and process for a title, from pre-production onward
