POSITION
The Safran Purchasing International Operations and Strategy Vice President is responsible for
- Managing International operations of Safran Purchasing so as to ensure an adequate level of performance of the function in the different areas and the inclusion of these operations into the global Safran Purchasing organization
- Managing certain cross-functional or strategic projects (e.g., process improvement projects, performance management, change management, innovation initiatives, coordination of complex projects)
- Supporting the Director in leading, managing, and transforming the indirect procurement function at the corporate level
- Ensuring managerial continuity in the Director's absence
The Safran Purchasing International Operations and Strategy Vice President acts as a true strategic and operational partner. Operating at the intersection of purchasing categories and geographic regions, he/she ensures the consistency, performance, and cross-functional integration of international indirect purchasing operations within a matrix organization
In addition to these activities, he / she assists the Safran Purchasing Executive Vice President in the definition of the Safran Purchasing strategic roadmap and its deployment across the organization all along the year. He / she notably supports the One Safran Purchasing approach and contributes to anticipate changes in the functions so as to prepare the development of our teams accordingly
MAIN FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- International cross-functional management
o Drive the performance of the regional hub network within the framework of budgets and medium-term plans (PMT)
o Manage the Purchasing teams to achieve main purchasing objectives, achieve competitive advantage from a total cost perspective and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process
o Ensure that the Safran Purchasing Flight Plan is fully embedded within international Hubs 'roadmaps
o Be a catalyst to sustain a “customer driven” philosophy within the organization
o Become acquainted with the Safran affiliates general managers to ensure a sound and regular level of cooperation. Builds sustainable partnerships with Tier 1 Companies and Safran sites under a formal Service Level Agreement in order to guarantee internal Clients' adherence to Target Purchasing Policies
o Facilitate operational collaboration between purchasing category managers and regional managers via joint working groups or international task forces.
o Support the maturation and alignment of teams with shared strategic objectives, regardless of reporting lines.
o Encourage the sharing of best practices, the dissemination of innovations, and skills development across teams in all regions.
- Strategy and overall management
o Assist the Safran Purchasing EVP in the overall management of the organization (facilitating governance bodies, reporting, KPI tracking, action plan development).
