This HR Business Partner opportunity offers the chance to support our Harnes manufacturing operation, providing direct exposure to operational leadership, people strategy, and business transformation initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
As a strategic advisor to business leaders and employees, you will drive people strategies that support growth, organizational effectiveness, talent development, employee engagement, and business performance. As a key member of the leadership community, you will partner with leaders and HR Centres of Excellence to deliver impactful people solutions that enable sustainable success across the site.
In addition to your HR Business Partner responsibilities for the Harnes plant, you will play a key role in managing employee relations and social dialogue activities with employee representative bodies for both the Harnes manufacturing site and our European Headquarters in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, supporting a combined employee population of approximately 600 employees.

Partner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies aligned with operational and organizational objectives.

Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, and change management initiatives.

Lead and develop direct report(s), providing coaching, performance management, and development planning.

Drive a culture of performance, accountability, inclusion, and positive employee relations.

Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence, including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, to implement business-focused people solutions.

Coach leaders on talent decisions, performance differentiation, leadership effectiveness, and organizational capability building.

Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop robust talent pipelines and staffing strategies that support future business needs.

Lead and support complex employee and labor relations matters, including managing relationships and consultation processes with employee representative bodies (CSE/Works Councils) for both the Harnes site and the European Headquarters in Villeneuve-d'Ascq.

Utilize workforce data, analytics, and business insights to inform decisions and influence outcomes.

Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR governance standards.

Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Law, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, ideally supporting manufacturing, industrial, or plant-based environments.

Demonstrated experience driving organizational change, employee engagement, talent management, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.

Strong employee and labor relations expertise, including experience within unionized environments.

Experience working with employee representative bodies and managing social dialogue processes.

Strong business acumen and the ability to balance business priorities with people-focused solutions.

Advanced analytical skills with experience leveraging data to support decision-making and problem-solving.

Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, coaching, and relationship-building capabilities.

Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to navigate complex and sensitive situations.

The HR Business Partner reports to the HR Director Manufacturing and is a member of both the Harnes Plant Leadership Team and the broader European HR organization.
This highly visible role supports employees and leaders across the Harnes manufacturing site, partnering closely with operational leaders, HR specialists, regional HR colleagues, and global Centres of Excellence. You will play a key role in driving organizational effectiveness, workforce transformation, talent development, employee engagement, and business performance within the plant.
In addition, the role is responsible for coordinating and supporting social dialogue activities with employee representative bodies for both the Harnes manufacturing site and the European Headquarters in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, representing approximately 600 employees.
