As a member of the Sustainability team, your role is to support and contribute to the achievement of the company’s sustainability objectives across the organization. These objectives include the Net Zero strategy, ESG performance, and the optimization of energy, water, and resource consumption.
- Support the company’s ESG and Sustainability Program by developing and providing updates on the company’s strategic sustainability objectives.
- Contribute to Dietsmann’s Environmental Management System and enhance environmental performance across the group.
- Prepare for and support the certification process (ISO 14001) of the relevant subsidiaries.
- Participate in the preparation of the company’s carbon footprint assessment.
- Develop and update procedures.
- Prepare reports and communications related to the sustainability program.
- Compile various sustainability reports to monitor performance and analyze trends.
- Conduct or participate in environmental audits.
- Organize training seminars/workshops on sustainability-related topics.
- Promote environmental and sustainability awareness throughout the group.
- Participate in investigations of environmental incidents, make recommendations, and seek improvements or modifications to management systems.
- Identify sustainability-related risks and appropriate mitigation measures, while highlighting opportunities to strengthen the organization’s sustainability profile.
- Identify opportunities to improve energy and water consumption, as well as innovative or alternative technologies, in order to optimize resource use.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
- Engineering degree or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental programs, climate target implementation, sustainability, or a similar technical role.
- Expertise in ISO 14001 (theoretical and practical) with strong field experience(industrial/operational environment preferred), including audits, performance assessments, continuous improvement, etc.
- Availability for 1 to 3 business trips per year, mainly to subsidiaries across Africa.
- Experience in sustainability assessments (carbon footprint, water consumption, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of international standards and frameworks, including GRI, SDGs, UNGC, GHG Protocol, and other sustainability standards.
- Excellent ability to prepare clear and structured reports.
- Fluent in both French and English (mandatory).
