Business Development Manager – Telecom
Location: Paris, France (Hybrid)
About the Opportunity
The company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to develop strategic relationships with telecom operators, system integrators, installers, and infrastructure companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the French telecom market.
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new customers across telecom operators, system integrators, infrastructure companies, and installers.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
- Manage supplier qualification and vendor registration processes with major telecom operators.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting through negotiation and closing.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with engineering and internal teams.
- Conduct customer meetings, technical presentations, factory visits, and business reviews.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and new business opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM reporting.
- Achieve sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development, Key Account Management, or B2B Sales within the telecommunications industry.
- Experience selling one or more of the following:
- Fiber optic cables
- Copper cables
- Telecom infrastructure products
- Connectivity solutions
- Passive telecom components
- Existing network with telecom operators, system integrators, or infrastructure companies in France is highly preferred.
- Experience managing RFQs, tenders, supplier approvals, or vendor registration processes.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented with a proven ability to develop new business.
- Fluent French and English are required.
- Spanish is considered an advantage.
