YOUR ROLE
As Managing Director, you will lead one of the world’s most iconic palace hotels, driving exceptional financial performance, operational excellence, and an unparalleled luxury guest experience while preserving Hôtel de Crillon’s rich heritage and position at the forefront of contemporary hospitality. Guided by Rosewood's Relationship Hospitality philosophy, you will foster a culture of excellence, personalised service, and innovation that brings the spirit of Paris to life for guests, associates, and partners alike.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
- Define and embody the hotel’s vision, ensuring every strategic and operational decision reflects its iconic positioning, architectural heritage, and luxury ethos.
- Lead and orchestrate all hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Residences, and Events, with a relentless focus on quality, consistency, profitability, and personalized guest experiences.
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing, inclusive leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, coaching, engagement, and talent development across all departments.
- Hold full P&L accountability overseeing financial performance and operational planning, including budgeting, forecasting, capital investment strategies, cost discipline, and asset value optimization for ownership.
- Own the strategic commercial, marketing, and revenue strategies to maximize ADR, occupancy, market share, and brand visibility across luxury leisure, premium corporate, entertainment, and UHNW guest segments.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by continuously enhancing service standards, innovation, discretion, and personalization across every touchpoint.
- Foster strong relationships with community partners and key stakeholders, including ownership, enhancing the hotel’s cultural integration and reputation within the local and global hospitality landscape.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and brand standards, maintaining rigorous quality and operational excellence throughout the property.
- Champion ESG and responsible hospitality initiatives, integrating sustainability and community engagement into the business model in alignment with Rosewood’s values.
COULD THIS BE YOU?
- You bring significant leadership experience within luxury or ultra-luxury hotels, with a proven track record as a Managing Director or General Manager of flagship or gateway city hotels. Exceptional candidates with demonstrable multi-property or area roles, will also be considered for a Regional Vice President remit.
- You have a demonstrable track record of delivering strong commercial results, driving RevPAR and GOP growth, optimizing capital investments, enhancing guest satisfaction (NPS, LTR), and improving team engagement.
- You have a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with, excellent judgment, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- You communicate with confidence and credibility, building trusted relationships with owners, investors, corporate teams, associates, and external stakeholders.
- You have a passion for service excellence and understand the importance of brand integrity, discretion, and anticipating the needs of VIP and UHNW guests.
- You are an inspiring, hands-on leader who can influence and align diverse, multicultural teams through clear direction, empowerment, and mentorship.
- You possess an impeccable personal presence with exceptional communication and presentation skills in English and French; additional languages, international experience, and a strong appreciation for design and sense of place are highly valued.
- You are passionate about using business as a force for good, driving positive impact for people, communities, and the planet while remaining true to Rosewood’s values and purpose.
