Purpose of the Job
Thales AEC is planning to launch the development of new products with critical Cybersecurity functions.
The engineering team established in Toulouse will lead R&T and developments of innovative Aeronautical Cybersecurity Products.
Key expectations with a senior position to consolidate footprint in Toulouse and lead design of the Cybersecurity solutions and functions.
Job Description
- Lead Cybersecurity Architect for the development of Cyber products, including in particular Secure Gateway solutions

Main Cyber interface to regulators for certification of new products

Cybersecurity Authority (CSA) for Thales Aerospace Communications

Definition of the Cyber product roadmap, along with the Engineering Director

Lead preparation of next generation cyber architectures (new products, integration with next generation aircraft)

Lead research / advanced projects for Cyber solutions & functions

As required, provide training sessions within AEC to share Cyber expertise
Job Requirements
- Engineering degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Telecommunications or Aerospace field

Several years of experience as Technical Leader with Cybersecurity accountability, and strong experience with the development of avionics systems

Ability to design secure architectures for safety-critical aviation systems (e.g. Avionics, Datalink ground infrastructure)

Detailed understanding of the ED-202 / ED-203 Aerospace Cybersecurity framework

Proficiency with threat modelling & risk assessments (EBIOS RM, RIME)

Deep knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, IDS, PKI, encryption and vulnerability management

Understanding of aircraft architecture, avionics buses (ARINC 429, AFDX, …) and aircraft maintenance

Experience with Zero Trust, aircraft domain segregation, and secure-by-design principles
