Job summary:
An Information Technology and Security Engineer at Scality contributes to the IT day to day work and helps to conceptualize, create, maintain and apply IT and security documents (advertising campaigns, policies, guidelines). As a member of the IT and Security team, she/he may have to develop tools and measures pertaining to ensure, document, monitor and improve the management of IT assets and increase their security.
You will be trained on how to ensure Security of Scality Information Systems, answer IT related questions from the field.
This role will work closely with the IT and Security team and drive frequent interactions with other teams like Engineering, General and Administrative, Technical Services [Customer Success], Sales, pre-Sales or Marketing.
Mission:
The mission of the IT-Security Intern will be to:
- Understand Scality's Information Technology and Security Framework
- Participate to IT and Security team’s day to day work
- Reorganize and update the current security awareness campaigns
- Develop a new 2026 Security Awareness campaign. Key subjects are around:
- Right management, needs to know, security charters
- Security incidents, Incident management, RACI, escalation procedure
- Integration of new tools to the Scality IT infrastructure, what does it mean ?
- Zoom on information transfer and security recommendations
- Help the security team to improve its security posture by implementing new security controls
- Participate in the implementation of new controls, policies and procedures related to ISO 27001
- Contribute to the detection and management of vulnerability (CVEs)
- Participate in security evaluation of new tools, applications or solutions that may be integrated to the Scality Information System.
- Assist the Sales and Technical Services teams to answer questions related to Security (questionnaires, RFP, …) – potentially using AI tools/technology
- The IT-Security intern may also contribute to additional projects part of the IT/Security roadmap. (for example, automation project using NoCode tools or automation of functional tests)
Ideal skills and experience:
- Interest in computing, new technologies and security topics
- Familiarity with Linux operating system is a plus
- Familiarity with Python would be appreciated
- Experience with laptop fleet management tools
