General Description:
CCB Paris Risk management department is responsible for the comprehensive risk management and plays a role of 2nd line of defence in the Bank.
Risk department performs risk identification, measure, monitoring, control and reports risks to which CCB Paris business activities exposes in order to reduce controllable risks, prevent and minimize bank exposures through preventative actions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement comprehensive risk management framework within CCB Paris in compliance with regulators, CCB Head Office and CCB Europe's requirements
- Perform efficiently the credit risk evaluation and assessment by applying CCB internal rating methodology on Corporate client, bank and non bank financial institutions and conduct its follow up and its periodical review
- Conduct due diligence and credit review on credit proposals, submitted by the originating departments notably Corporate Investment Banking and Financial Institution departments in a timely manner
- Perform the annual credit review of the existing transactions
- Perform jointly the post loan management with CIB and FI department including quarterly asset classification, monitoring the watch listed exposures and perform the loan provision under the IFRS9.
- Perform sector and country risk research by writing reports, monitoring relevant risk factors, including but not limited to economic and industry conditions and development that would have notable impact on the bank's credit portfolio and provide alerts to the business managers and senior management when required
- Perform anacredit regulatory report by respecting the regulatory deadline
- Conduct operational risk incident report, maintain the operational risk database and perform annual risk and control self-assessment, and prepare Business continuity plan and perform the drill test
- Participate in the update of risk management procedure and manual
- Provide supports to the risk management and compliance committee and EU and Head office credit committee
- Develop, implement and maintain a strong management of IT system for monitoring and reporting credit risks, including records of credit proposals and transactions requests from business units
- Prepare reports for the senior management and head office as well as ad hoc reports as required by management and head office in a timely manner
Other matters as assigned by the Head of Risk, Risk Manager as well as the senior management of branch
Qualifications:
· Bachelor or above degree in Finance & Banking or related specialization
· 3 years of experience in a similar position gained in a financial institution with a basic knowledge of risk management concepts and banking products
· Basic knowledge of credit risk analysis and accounting practices in the banking sector
· Basic knowledge of the European and French regulations on risk management and understanding of bank organisation
· Analysis skills, interpersonal and communication skills, organization and prioritizing skills, curiosity and willing to learn in the constant evolving banking environment
· Able to work under pressure to meet the deadline
· Team player
Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin, French could be an asset
