Hectiq is an independent video game studio founded by industry seniors in 2023, located in Bordeaux, France.
We are driven by the ambition of making unique and engaging games of various genres.
We emphasize creativity, gameplay, and technical innovation.
Our first title, Los Pingheros, is available on PC and Nintendo Switch. We are now working on Painted Kingdoms, a strategy game currently playable as a demo on Steam.
• Internship Bordeaux (33)
We are looking for a game design intern to join us in Bordeaux and work alongside the team on Painted Kingdoms, our strategy game currently in development. A demo is available on Steam, and we expect you to have played it before applying.
- are a strategy game player with a real culture of the genre (please mention it on your resume)
- have a strong working knowledge of Unity
- are open to feedback and able to integrate it into your work
come with concrete ideas to improve the game after playing our demo

- comfortable with Git
- advanced Excel user
- have already worked on a strategy game, including student or personal projects
- know how to balance a game system
- able to describe a production pipeline, from initial vision to golden
- Real ownership on design work, with your ideas tested and played quickly by a small team
- Direct collaboration with industry seniors across design, code and production
- Paid internship, school agreement required
