Generative AI & Cybersecurity Lab Engineer
Graduate opportunity
Location: Sophia Antipolis, France
Join the Team Building Fortinet's AI Security Story
Ever wondered what it actually takes to secure Generative AI in the enterprise, not in theory, but in a live, evolving lab environment? This is your chance to find out from the inside.
We're looking for a curious, hands-on recent graduate to help run and grow our Generative AI & Cybersecurity Lab, a demo environment where Fortinet showcases how its Security Fabric monitors and protects AI workloads across FortiGate, FortiAIGate, FortiAnalyzer, CNAPP, and SASE. This isn't a static showroom: it's a living lab that evolves alongside real customer scenarios, new product releases, and the fast-moving world of enterprise AI.
You'll help build the simulated business applications that bring these demos to life, keep the environment current with the latest software and security patches, and support the teams who present this work to customers in our Executive Briefing Center and internally, as we shape Fortinet's AI security narrative.
What You'll Do
- Run the lab infrastructure: maintain and evolve the lab network and Kubernetes-based AI platform, from deployments to upgrades to troubleshooting.
- Build the story, not just the tech: design and maintain simulated business applications that make AI security demos feel real and relevant.
- Create demo assets: develop scripting, automation, and video/support materials used in EBC sessions, customer demos, and internal training.
- Stay current: keep the environment aligned with the latest product versions, security patches, and enterprise AI data-center best practices.
- Document as you go: write hands-on labs, runbooks, and technical guides so knowledge transfers cleanly across the team.
- Test what's next: support internal validation of new Fortinet AI features and integrations before they reach customers.
Track the AI landscape: help ensure our customer-facing signatures stay compliant as public and on-prem AI protocols (ChatGPT, Gemini, MCP) evolve.
-
What You'll Bring
- A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a related field
- Genuine curiosity about how AI and cybersecurity intersect; you don't need to be an expert yet, but you should want to become one
- Comfort with (or eagerness to learn) Kubernetes, networking and cybersecurity fundamentals, and scripting/automation
- An eye for detail and a habit of documenting your work clearly
- Strong communication skills: you'll be helping translate technical work into a story customers can follow
A builder's mindset: you like making things work, then making them better
-
Why This Role
You'll sit at the intersection of two of the fastest-moving fields in tech: Generative AI and cybersecurity, with direct visibility into how a global security leader positions itself to customers. You'll learn by doing, work across real product lines, and see your work show up in front of executives and clients within your first year.
