As Quality Control Manager, you will oversee all activities within the site’s Quality Control laboratory. You are an integral part of the product supply chain and, as such, you will ensure the laboratory’s operational performance, guarantee regulatory compliance, and support the department’s transformation with a focus on excellence and efficiency.
The following responsibilities will be assigned to you:
- Quality Control Management
Oversee the carrying out of quality controls in accordance with quality requirements, deadlines and budgets.
Ensure the identification of potential deviations and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Quality System & Documentation, Audits & Inspections
Organise the provision and review of QC documents.
Prepare, organise and lead internal and external audits, as well as regulatory inspections.
Ensure compliance and the availability of the necessary documentation for audits and inspections.
- Budget Management and Performance
Manage the QC budget and the associated P&L.
Develop performance KPIs.
Identify areas for optimisation.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety and HSE standards.
Prioritise the management of non-conformities and actively participate in QA and safety committees.
Implement standards of operational excellence.
Lead or support cross-functional improvement projects.
Define the equipment, premises and utilities required to implement the laboratory’s medium- to long-term strategy.
Lead or sponsor QC projects
Manage a team of around 40 staff, including 3 team leaders.
Develop staff skills, conduct annual appraisals and oversee training programmes.
Actively contribute to strengthening the engagement of the CQ teams on a day-to-day basis.
Your profile :
Education and experience
You hold a five-year postgraduate degree or a PhD in science (chemistry, biology, pharmacy) and have proven experience in team management within a QC department.
Technical Skills
As an expert in audits, GMP regulations, analytical sciences and continuous improvement, you are also proficient in quality management systems (QMS) and the IT tools required to manage operations.
With a customer-focused approach, you analyse situations quickly, simplify complex issues and propose effective solutions.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for this role.
