Job Summary
You will take full ownership of end-to-end finance operations across France, Germany and the Netherlands. You shall ensure all local financial activities fully comply with group financial policies, accounting standards and local regulatory compliance requirements. This role is responsible for regional financial risk management, internal control implementation and cross-business-unit coordination. You will act as the key communication bridge among local authorities, external partners, regional business teams and global headquarters. During the initial development stage of EU business, you will also provide auxiliary support on HR and administrative finance-related work to guarantee stable local operation.
Prior experience in logistics industry and hands-on small-scale ERP system rollout & launch is highly required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Policy Rollout & Statutory Compliance
a) Fully implement group unified financial policies, accounting standards and internal control systems in three European countries, and make reasonable adaptation combined with local GAAP and tax rules.
b) Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closing, group consolidated data submission, statutory financial statement preparation and full-range tax filing (VAT, corporate income tax, payroll tax, etc.).
c) Manage outsourced accounting and tax service providers, supervise daily accounting quality, and ensure complete and compliant retention of accounting vouchers, tax documents and audit files as required by local governments.
d) Coordinate the whole process of internal and external annual audits & special inspections, track and implement all audit rectification proposals.
2. Risk Management & Internal Control
a) Build up standardized local risk identification, early warning and prevention mechanisms covering tax compliance, cross-border cash flow, operational data and business compliance.
b) Collaborate closely with all Business Units and Functional teams to sort out potential financial risks in advance and put forward executable control solutions.
c) Monitor daily cash collection & payment, rolling cash flow forecast, account receivable & payable turnover to mitigate capital risks.
3. Stakeholder Communication & External Liaison
a) Maintain long-term professional communication with local tax bureaus, banks, auditors, law firms and other regulatory authorities; independently respond to tax inquiries and official inspections.
b) Align with regional and headquarters finance, FP&A, legal and HR teams to unify the interpretation and consistent execution of global financial standards, and timely feedback local policy differences.
4. Cross-BU Business Finance Support (Core Duty)
a) Serve as the financial business partner for EU business teams, participate in contract review, project quotation, gross profit calculation and business profitability evaluation, with solid understanding of logistics cost settlement, freight accrual and inventory accounting logic.
b) Compile monthly regional operation analysis reports and budget variance analysis, deliver multi-dimensional financial insights on revenue, logistics cost, inventory and collection to support cross-functional decision-making.
c) Drive the implementation of internal control rules across departments, optimize cost and compliance risks, and push rectification of abnormal financial data.
d) Regularly report regional financial performance, capital status, tax risks and key financial issues to Group Oversea Finance Director.
5. Treasury & Cross-border Financial Arrangement
a) Administer all EU local bank accounts, coordinate daily payment & collection, optimize capital allocation efficiency.
b) Cooperate with headquarters to complete cross-border capital transfer, exchange rate calculation and foreign exchange risk control.
c) Negotiate with local banks on credit line, settlement channel and financial service terms.
6. Initial-stage HR & Admin Financial Support
a) Complete monthly payroll calculation, attendance verification and payroll tax declaration for local employees.
b) Review small procurement applications, employee expense reimbursement and administrative payment requests.
c) Sort out and archive HR & admin financial documents, control office and travel expenses within budget.
7. Financial Process Optimization & Small ERP System Implementation (Mandatory)
a) Sort out the whole financial workflow of three European countries, identify inefficient links and propose standardized optimization plans, especially logistics-related settlement, freight and inventory financial processes.
b) Lead or participate in full lifecycle small ERP system rollout: demand sorting, master data standardization, system configuration, SIT/UAT testing, data migration, parallel operation and official go-live across EU subsidiaries.
c) Cooperate with headquarters IT and finance teams to align ERP module parameters with group standards, realize automated logistics cost posting, unified financial data traceability and consistent reporting across Europe.
d) Provide post-launch system support, resolve finance module bugs, train local operation staff and continuously optimize ERP workflow based on logistics business scenarios.
Core Competencies & Job Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, International Accounting or related majors; ACCA, CIMA, CPA or local European accounting certificates are preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years comprehensive finance management experience, with at least 3 years experience in multi-country finance management in Europe; candidates with financial experience in Chinese overseas enterprises covering France, Germany or the Netherlands are highly preferred.
3. Must have solid logistics industry financial background: proficient in logistics freight cost accounting, cross-border shipment settlement, inventory valuation and logistics-related VAT deduction rules.
4. Mandatory hands-on experience in full-cycle small ERP system implementation and go-live: capable of sorting logistics & finance business demands, conducting data migration, finishing user acceptance testing and troubleshooting post-launch issues independently.
5. Sound knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP of France, Germany and the Netherlands, EU VAT, corporate tax, payroll tax system, transfer pricing and cross-border compliance regulations.
6. Proven independent experience in handling local tax bureau communication, annual audit and bank cooperation; familiar with outsourced accounting management for overseas subsidiaries.
7. Proficient in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle / small logistics finance ERP preferred) and advanced Excel for financial modeling, cash flow forecasting and business analysis.
8. Language Proficiency: Fluent business English (oral & written) for independent communication with overseas institutions and financial report drafting; French or German speaking is a big plus; fluent Chinese is advantageous for daily communication with China headquarters.
9. Strong cross-cultural communication & stakeholder influencing skills, capable of coordinating multi-level teams including overseas business, third-party agencies and headquarters.
10. Strong risk awareness and compliance mindset, able to proactively identify hidden financial risks and establish long-term prevention measures.
11. Excellent business-finance integration capability, balancing business development and group internal control requirements with practical financial suggestions.
12. Independent problem-solving ability, capable of handling complex cross-border financial & logistics system issues and delivering actionable solutions without constant supervision.
13. Good multi-tasking resilience, able to simultaneously manage month-end closing, tax declaration, audit coordination, ERP system rollout and business support work under tight schedules; rigorous, responsible and adaptable to overseas independent working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Finance working experience in bicycle industry, cross-border logistics, freight forwarding or consumer goods European market.
2. Experience in setting up financial systems and standardizing tax & accounting workflows for new overseas subsidiaries from scratch.
3. Familiar with EU anti-money laundering regulations, cross-border e-commerce or offline distribution financial control rules.
4. Experience configuring ERP finance modules matching logistics business cost & settlement scenarios.
