About the role :
As part of the expansion of our R&D department, we are looking for a Software Engineering Team Lead to lead a team of software engineers and help design high-performance, scalable and reliable solutions, primarily in C/C++.
Reporting to the Head of the Software Department, this key role combines technical leadership with team management. You will be a driving force in supporting your team, organising development activities and ensuring the quality and performance of deliverables.
The main responsibilities are as follows :
Leadership & Management :

Supervising, coaching and developing a team of software engineers,

Conducting appraisals (one-to-one meetings, annual appraisals, career plans),
-
Fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture,
-
Helping with the recruitment and onboarding of new talent.
Technical Leadership :
-
Defining technical and architectural direction,
-
Ensuring code quality (code reviews, best practices, testing),
-
Breaking down complex problems into concrete solutions,
-
Monitoring technological developments and proposing improvements.
Delivery & Project Management :
-
Oversee planning and development estimates,
-
Prioritise activities and ensure deadlines are met,
-
Identify and resolve obstacles, manage risks,
-
Work closely with Product teams and stakeholders,
-
Continuously improve efficiency and delivery processes.
Collaboration & communication :
-
Act as the main point of contact for your team,
-
Ensure clear communication on progress and challenges,
-
Promote knowledge sharing and standardisation.
Technical contribution (hands-on) :

Actively participate in development on complex topics,
-
Contribute to debugging, optimisation and architectural decisions,
-
Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
You hold an Engineering degree or equivalent qualification and have at least 10 years of experience in software development.
Required skills and qualifications :

Proven experience managing or mentoring technical teams

Strong background in software development (C/C++, Python, etc.)

Solid knowledge of software architecture and engineering best practices

Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)

Strong leadership and excellent communication skills

Ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on operational contribution

Analytical, pragmatic, and results-oriented mindset

Given the international nature of our organization, proficiency in written and spoken technical English is essential for this position
