TWW Yachts is looking for an experienced and highly organised Compliance Manager / Officer to join our team in Monaco.
As an international yacht brokerage and management company working with clients, companies and assets across multiple jurisdictions, maintaining robust compliance standards is an essential part of our business.
We are looking for a compliance professional who can take ownership of our day-to-day compliance requirements, support our teams across the business and ensure our internal policies, procedures and controls continue to meet relevant regulatory and industry standards.
The successful candidate will have previous professional experience in compliance, with a strong understanding of AML, KYC, sanctions and risk-based due diligence. Previous experience within the yachting or wider maritime sector would be a significant advantage, but is not essential.
The Role
Based in our Monaco office, you will work closely with senior management and our sales teams to oversee compliance matters across TWW Yachts.
You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate due diligence is undertaken on clients, for charter and sales transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage TWW Yachts' day-to-day compliance requirements.
- Conduct and review KYC and client due diligence (CDD) for individuals and corporate entities.
- Identify and verify ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO) and relevant corporate structures.
- Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) where required, including higher-risk clients, jurisdictions and transactions.
- Undertake appropriate PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening.
- Assess compliance and reputational risks associated with prospective and existing clients and counterparties.
- Maintain accurate and complete compliance records and documentation.
- Ensure ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews are completed in accordance with internal procedures.
- Support commercial teams with compliance requirements relating to yacht sales, purchases, charter and yacht management activities.
- Review and develop internal compliance policies, procedures and controls as the business evolves.
- Monitor relevant regulatory developments and ensure appropriate changes are incorporated into company procedures.
- Provide clear and practical compliance guidance to colleagues across the business.
- Support and deliver internal compliance training and promote strong compliance awareness throughout TWW Yachts.
- Escalate higher-risk or complex compliance matters to senior management where appropriate.
- Assist with regulatory reporting, audits and compliance reviews where required.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be an experienced compliance professional who is comfortable taking ownership of compliance matters within an international business.
- Previous professional experience in a compliance, AML, KYC or financial crime role is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of AML/KYC principles, customer due diligence, beneficial ownership, PEPs and international sanctions.
- Experience assessing complex corporate structures and international clients.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Sound judgement and the confidence to identify, challenge and escalate potential compliance risks.
- A discreet and professional approach when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities.
- Confidence working independently while collaborating closely with commercial and operational teams.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential, additional languages would be an advantage.
Bonus qualifications:
- Previous experience within the yachting, maritime or luxury asset sector would be a strong advantage.
- Relevant compliance, AML or financial crime qualifications would be advantageous.
