CEO Succession – Family-Owned Company MEPHISTO

After more than 25 years of successful leadership, the management of the MEPHISTO Group will be handed over to new leadership due to retirement. As part of a structured and closely supported succession process, we are seeking an entrepreneurial executive to assume the role of CEO, taking full operational responsibility for the international group and ensuring its sustainable future development.
For decades, MEPHISTO has stood for outstanding quality, craftsmanship, comfort, and strong international brand recognition in the premium footwear segment. As a family-owned company, we combine tradition with innovation – while maintaining a clear focus on the future.
Your Responsibilities
As CEO, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the entire group. You will consistently drive the development of the company and its four core brands (MEPHISTO, MOBILS, ALLROUNDER, and SANO), ensure competitiveness in a dynamic market environment, and actively shape the company’s future.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing the overall corporate strategy in close alignment with the shareholders
- Full responsibility for all business areas: product, production, sourcing, sales, and marketing
- Strengthening brand positioning and development across international markets
- Expanding into new markets, sales channels, and customer segments
- Leading transformation and digitalization initiatives across the entire value chain
- Managing, developing, and motivating international management and leadership teams
- Ensuring efficient, scalable, and future-ready business processes
- Maintaining a strong on-site presence at the Sarrebourg headquarters and close collaboration with all key departments
Your Profile
- Several years of leadership experience, for example as CEO or in an international sales/executive role within the footwear, fashion, or lifestyle industry
- Strong understanding of corporate and brand management, product development, industrial production, and international sales
- Proven track record in business development, transformation, and digitalization
- Entrepreneurial mindset combined with strategic vision
- Strong leadership personality with high social competence, clarity, and decisiveness
- Ability to manage complex organizations while staying close to people and processes
- International experience and intercultural awareness
- Excellent communication skills at both executive and employee levels (fluent business English is required)
